Marco Rubio Presents A Concise Gospel Message At Charlie Kirk’s Memorial
The Church-and-state zealots must be losing their minds over this
One of the epic moments in a WILD night at Charlie Kirk’s memorial was when the sitting Secretary of State took off his political hat for a minute to speak about something far more important.
Like many of the Founders and Framers, Marco Rubio knows how to ‘walk and chew gum’. His political duties are guided by the interests of the country and the electorate. But like many great statesmen before him, he knew how to set that aside to bow his knee before the Eternal.
Like him, many statesmen have taken a moment in history — in moments of national peril, or giving gratitude for great victories and achievements, when pressed with difficult decisions where they stand in the crossroads of history, it was not uncommon to turn the national gaze Heavenward and make, as George Washington’s flags once described it, ‘an appeal to heaven‘.
As moments of ‘national peril’ go, the political assassination of an unarmed man engaging in civil discourse with his critics, a murder that is STILL being dismissed and downplayed by elected officials across the political who continue to slander and defame both him and those who support him must certainly count as one of the more fraught moments in or history.
And what more fitting time than the memorial service of someone whose entire life and mission rested on the foundation stone of his faith in Jesus Christ than to speak to the nation of the hope his own faith gave int the face of mortality in the very moment the nation has been grappling with great questions of mortality.
Marco Rubio, as one of the speakers to take the microphone in the enormous rally that gathered to commemorate a life cut short so soon, addressed the crowd in words much the same as Charlie himself might have given, had he been able to take the microphone himself.
Unlike most politicians, Rubio was able to sum it up in about as much time as an ‘elevator speech’ might require.
