TEXAS To The Rescue As Chicago PD’s Plays Dangerous Game Issuing Stand-Down Orders On Aiding ICE
Far from 'taking the temperature down' they WANT the violence and intimidation leveled against Fed agents.

Is there any more direct path to law enforcement green-lighting violent action against federal officials than refusing their call for aid when violently attacked?
The complaint you hear so often about sending Feds in to take care of local law enforcement action is that regular cops have special training for this kind of situation that other agencies don’t have.
By that logic, it would be in the city’s best interest to keep a safe buffer between an angry protesting public and the enforcement the public is raging against. (Unless it was official policy of the city to encourage such lawlessness, that is.)
During a ‘routine patrol’ by ICE agents, a group of cars boxed in the ICE vehicles, and a woman (armed with a firearm) attempted to run the officers down, before being shot (injured) by the officers in self-defence. A call went out to Chicago PD for assistance.
Initially, there was a call for units to respond to a hit-and-run. But that order was countermanded by another order saying nobody would respond to this call.
Reports that they were given such a stand-down order have been published, including a image of the order itself.

Pritzker has been playing games with their sanctuary city status for a long time. But now that ICE agents doing their jobs have been the targets of organized acts of violence, Trump is sending in the Guard.
President Donald Trump could send 400 members of the Texas National Guard to other states “to ensure safety for federal officials,” Gov. Greg Abbott said Sunday on social media.
On Sunday evening, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker posted on X, saying that the president is ordering the deployment of Texas National Guard members to locations like Illinois and Oregon, calling it “Trump’s invasion.” The announcement followed protests at ICE facilities in these states that have led to arrests.
Pritzker also called on Abbott to refuse any coordination.
Less than an hour later, the Texas governor responded that he “fully authorize[s]” such a move by the president.
“You can either fully enforce protection for federal employees or get out of the way and let Texas Guard do it,” Abbott said in a post on X.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a memo about the Texas Guard’s mobilization that “the orders will be effective immediately for an initial period of 60 days.” They could also be extended where needed, including in Portland and Chicago. — Texas Tribune
As left and right become increasingly entrenched on opposite sides of the immigration enforcement issue, the left’s refusal to apply the most basic standards of enforcing laws ensuring public safety are starting to look like CHAZ/CHOP all over again. But this time, we don’t have a rogue DOJ more interested in kissing the ass of partisans in the SPLC (whose role in the FBI is now officially over) than in enforcing the law as written.
How this plays out in the short term, and how it impacts elections in the longer term will be interesting to watch. No predictions here, but honestly, I have no idea how elected Dems will attempt to defend the indefensible, beyond the gaslighting and lies that have been (until now) the bread and butter of their rhetorical strategies.
