God’s Testimony Regarding His Son

Doug's message recorded live at Liberty Fellowship in Wimberly Texas -- 1 Jn 5:5-12

Sometimes you hear yelled out in church ‘Can I get a witness?’ In today’s text, both the apostle and the Godhead himself stand before the jury to testify to the Son.

And the end of that testimony, you can be for him or against him, but there is no room for a hung jury… and that is by design.

To accept Christ has he really was and is carries implications. But to shrug it off and say it doesn’t much matter what you believe about it? It matters.

How much does it matter? We’ll not get ahead of the message, but suffice to say that John doesn’t leave the squishy Christian any wiggle room on that particular question.

You get a glimpse of the Son of Thunder that never quite got swallowed up in the Apostle of Love he came to be known as.
