BONGINO’S BACK: First Interview Crushes Ratings After Dan Steps Out Of FBI Role

He did what he had to do and is coming back to what he loves

Trump picked him for exactly one job. Now that he’s done his part, he’s coming back to civilian life, where he’s once again free to say whatever he wants.

Dan Bongino’s return to sit with one of his company’s Rumble streamers was just about the worst-kept secret in the streaming world.

Hayley Caronia was teasing a ‘mystery guest’ (wink-wink) on her Nightly Scroll show and not a soul was surprised to know it was, in fact, Dan Bongino.

Even the way he came in was pretty fun. Instead of a formal introduction, you see a figure, whose head and shoulders are out of the frame, walk onto the set and start looking at the mementos with which the set has been decorated. He didn’t say a word, he just showed up in the background, to which Hayley quipped ‘make yourself at home’, before inviting him to sit down around the 30 minute mark.

To answer the obvious question: yes, he’s rebooting his show again. It will be early February or so when everything is back up to speed and he launches it, so look for that.

Here are some bullet points of what was covered in the 30 min or so she had him on air:

  • Describe the phone call where Trump picked you for the FBI role
  • Charlie Kirk
  • There are ‘Two FBIs’
    • Door kickers and Political animals
  • Was shocked to learn exactly what  threats he saw outlined in the daily briefing
    • Both variety of threats and intensity/number of them
  • From the inside, the Media are even WORSE than they appear from the outside
    • Adding unnecessary drama to everything
      • Shoulder-gate story about BJJ sparring
      • Claim he was ‘clearing out his office’
        • Dan dared them to get a photo of his office for the story
  • Asked what he thinks the biggest threat is… hard to narrow down
    • China, obviously
    • Radicalization of children
      • especially by Nihilistic Violent Extremists like ‘764’
  • Mentioned the force multiplier of doing gang sweeps.
    • Most violent criminals have multiple priors
      • A small number of people are responsible for a huge percentage of crimes
      • If you collar the gang members, crime drops across the board
  • How extensive were his personnel changes?
  • Talks about the show’s return in February and some of what he’ll unpack from day one.

He never actually said the ‘cutesy time is over’ quote in the interview.

But it is HEAVILY implied.

Welcome back to the fight, Dan.

No shock here, but he absolutely CRUSHED the ratings in this appearance.

It’s good to have him back in the trenches.
