We’re just a little over 9 months until the midterm elections of 2026. This year, ALL 438 House districts are up for re-election, along with 33 Senate seats. Republican majorities are slim in both House and Senate: 219-213 with 3 vacancies; 53-47 with 2 Independents who caucus with Demsheviks, respectively.
It doesn’t need to be said, but it really needs to be painfully understood that the margins are too small to be ignored.
In looking at the numbers for the state of Indiana where I live, the old saying of “…all politics are local” (attributed to Tip O’Neill, former Speaker Of The House) really hits home. While our two Republican Senators, Todd Young and Jim Banks will not face re-election this year (Young will 2028, and Banks will in 2030), all our House Reps will. The state has 9 Reps, all Republican except Andre’ Carson, who represents Indiana’s 7th District (Indianapolis). He’s also Moslem, which really does matter since that constituency will definitely vote for him. (Just sayin’, for a friend.) So, it looks like we don’t have much to be concerned about in this state, right?
Guess again. While our House and Senate seats look secure, it’s the down ticket races that could cause problems. Here are the stats for my state, as provided by BallotReady 2026 Midterm Election Calendar.
The number of primary races for Indiana in the following categories are: Fed, 9; State 253; County 953; City 253, Localities 9.
The number of races in the general election are: Fed 9;, State 272; County 983; City 252; Localities 692.
I know statistics aren’t exactly page turning reading. The point, though, is that these numbers are from just one state. The overall amount of down ticket races throughout the entire country could have a greater affect on the next presidential election than we realize. It’s the grass roots organizational clout that can have a lot of pull, especially with all the election “irregularities” we’ve seen since 2020. They get the “right” people in the right precincts and…well….
As I said at the start of this article, we’re just slightly over 9 months away from the midterms. Given all the negativity that’s coming out of Minnesota, the Demsheviks will be hoping (with the help of their personal Pravda “news” outlets) that we’ll get distracted enough to forget a lot of their anti-American lawlessness.
Yeah, let’s not forget about Demshevik DA’s who release killers like the guy who slaughtered Iryna Zarutska on a train.
Let’s not forget all the rouge judges who have tried to impede President Trump’s efforts to reign in federal spending and illegal immigration. James Boasberg comes to mind, but there are several. Too many.
Let’s not forget the Demsheviks almost homoerotic embrace of Islam. From Queers For Palestine, to staying silent about Moslems slaughtering Christians in Nigeria, to condemning President Trump for bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities, to even finally electing a hybrid Moslem/Communist to our nation’s largest city, the Left is playing a game that will not end well for anyone, them included, no matter who wins. Take a close look at Europe. (Further columns of mine on the subject: “A World Wide Problem” for 7/25 and “Ask Yourself…Proudly Islamophobic…” for 11/25)
Speaking of Iran, any real coverage about what’s going on there from mainstream Pravda? Crickets.
Let’s not forget the Demsheviks are enraged that President Trump gave the green light to the removal of Venezuela’s Maduro. My guess is that they have a quota for fentanyl deaths. The more of our own people they can kill off, they can replace with illegals…you know, their future voters.
Let’s not forget Renee Good and Alex Pretti. No, not in a respectful, even humanitarian way. No, let’s not forget them for the traitors and insurrectionists they were. On the other hand, had either one of them been killed by an illegal, we never would have heard about it.
Let’s not forget any of what President Trump has accomplished during the first half of his second term. Along with that, let’s never forget the four year window into the true intentions of the Demsheviks, as provided by the Biden/Harris fiasco.
Let’s not forget how important these midterms are, even this far out.
In closing…
In spite of the mainstream Pravda new outlets ignoring this, there has been coverage of Ohio AG candidate Elliot Forhan openly threatening to kill President Trump. (Check out “Democrat AG Candidate Vows To Exact Revenge on President Trump via Capital Punishment” by Amy Curtis, townhall.com 1/28/2026)
Back in the 1980s, I actually got selected to serve on a Federal Grand Jury for the Northern District of Indiana. A Grand Jury is not the same as a trial jury. It’s presented evidence of a possible crime, then votes to indict or not. If an indictment is issued, then the state can move forward with an arrest and further trial. This is part of our system of check and balances.
One of the cases we heard involved a death threat to then President Reagan. I remember the DA who brought the case before us, telling us that even if the threat was made in jest, or while under the influence, or was made by someone known to be mentally incompetent, All threats were taken seriously and all individuals who made such a threat would face prosecution.
So, what the %$#^ has been done with Elliot Forhan?
One more thing and then I’ll stop for this month. Have you seen where the Canadian province of Alberta is taking the idea of succession seriously and looking at independence? Here’s an idea…just a thinking out loud pipe dream really, but why don’t we offer to trade Minnesota for Alberta? Just a thought.
