If Even Obama Is Whipping Up Lefty Opposition To It, It’s GOTTA Be Good For The Country

Just before President’s Day, Albin made a ‘called shot’. It wasn’t quite Babe Ruth Home Run in its magnificence, but for a guy making a political cartoon, it was on point.

ClashDaily might have run it earlier, but the editors took a brief hiatus for a family trip. We loaded a few stories, but didn’t get time to put this one in the hopper. We’ve been playing catch-up until now, what with SOTU and the Olympic Gold Medal, but we’re caught up enough that we can give it a proper look.

Last night, Trump used the bully pulpit occasion of the State Of The Union where added his own voice to the chorus of voices to pass the Save Act (also called the Save America Act) requiring citizens to present voter ID and prove they are lawful voters when casting their vote. He even used Mandami’s snow brigade ID and Social Security number requirements as a mirror by which to mock Democrats’ objection to voter ID. (Unless leftists and journos would claim he’s discriminating against non-white and female workers from that employment opportunity, which would constitute a violation of rights.)

Not only does President Trump want it passed, he wants it passed as a priority.

Some of you may remember Obama popped his head out a few weeks ago and called for six more years of sketchy elections when he said:

For a guy whose ‘wingman’ has been fighting hard to courts across the land using flimsy complaints to redistrict even red and purple state so that the gerrymandering looks like California, Illinois, or the new Virginia map to create a defecto ‘one-party state’, after getting caught weaponizing the IRS against grassroots opponents is pretty rich.

But even before Obama took that stand, our own Albin ‘Amazing Kreskin’ Sadar had already mocked him for the stand he was about to take in a political cartoon that first appeared on the American Thinker.

He was riffing off those ‘President’s Sales’ you see in commercials, and the trench coat guy who sells off-brand watches and handbags in the sketchy parts of town, with an image he came up with on Wednesday Feb 11th, before we’d all heard about the post Obama made later that day.

Turns out, Albin Sadar nailed it.
