Trump Racks Up Another Immigration Win On Use Of IRS Address Info To Enforce Laws

Unlike Obama's illegal use of IRS to crush political opposition, this use is to actually enforce the laws

Looks like we’ve finally found an upside to all those extra IRS agents Joe Biden hired. They can help enforce breaches of immigration and employment law.

A three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit declined to issue a preliminary injunction for the immigrants’ rights group, Centro de Trabajadores Unidos, and other nonprofits that are suing the federal government over the data-sharing agreement signed last April by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

The agreement allows U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to submit names and addresses of immigrants inside the U.S. illegally to the IRS for cross-verification against tax records.

In declining the preliminary injunction request, Judge Harry T. Edwards wrote that the nonprofit groups “are unlikely to succeed on the merits of their claim,” since the information the agencies are sharing isn’t covered by the IRS privacy statute. — ABC

Translation?

There is no provision in law that prohibits the IRS from using tax records and addresses with law enforcement for the purposes of identifying individuals unlawfully at large in the country.

That won’t stop Dems who said not a peep about Obama’s administration harassing Tea Party and Patriot groups that threatened his re-election bid from clutching their pearls and telling us the sky is falling.

CREW — one of the groups specifically named in David Brock’s Get-Trump ‘ Media Matters War Plan 2017‘ strategy guide for destroying Trump’s presidency and anyone in his orbit is already opposing Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS for illegally exposing his tax returns.
