Burning Refinery & Airport Protests Remind Us Just How Little Dems Care About American Safety

The left would never have the courage to play this kind of Russian Roulette, if they truly believed the barrel of the gun was pointed at their OWN temple.

The perfect metaphor for the callousness of the Democrat senators was summed up in the lament of the unnamed Democrat senator who (with a salary six times that of any TSA agents) that he couldn’t have his pay check suspended during the shutdown because he had a mortgage to pay.

Uh-huh. That’s the point. So do the TSA agents, the Coast Guard, FEMA staffers and all the other people with DHS that are frozen out of THEIR incomes as we wait for Democrats to stop using American citizens as pawns in their political powerbroker games.

As ClashDaily has written previously, the entire point of DHS is to protect us from threats, including the untold numbers of hostile foreign actors who waltzed in over the border unopposed in the Biden years, besides any home-grown crazies who have been radicalized along the way. In the few weeks since the beginning of the conflict in Iran, we’ve seen several acts of domestic terrorism. They have made explicit threats to deliberately target soft targets around the world. That could include infrastructure. It could include refineries. It could include airports. It could include attacks on our coasts. The potential targets are limited only by their creativity, malevolence and capacity.

With several oil and gas facilities already struck by their missiles in the Middle East, (not to mention the Ukrainian conflict having set Russian oil and gas export facilities ablaze this week), and a mysterious now-deleted tweet that came out just ONE hour before a Texas refinery went boom.

Early reports point to an industrial heater as the likely cause, but we await further details.

Meanwhile, at the airports…?

TSA shutdowns orchestrated by Democrat senators who feel ‘serene’ in their decision to block Homeland Security funding left airport passengers stuck with four-hour waits as lines snaked out of the airport and often around the building as well. It was chaos.

So Trump sent ICE in to help handle it. Democrats lost their ever-loving minds, Dick Blumenthal’s tirade was loopy even by Dem ‘standards’.

Of course, in reality, once ICE showed up, even the news shows had to admit that the lines were moving again, and (just like every other ‘nightmare scenario’ Dems use to frighten voters) none of the imagined horrors ever materialized.

Predictably, now that ICE has once again made life liveable for anyone trying to fly, how is the left responding? They’re ‘organizing’ and calling for chaos at the airports to complain that … the chaos has come to an end. Because of course they are.

And since we’re on the topic of national security — now’s a good time to remind everyone that Trump was trying to top up the Strategic Oil Reserves in COVID when the prices were pennies on the dollar (Democats said ‘f*** no’), and Joe Biden drained reserves to knock a few cents off of the inflation his anti-petroleum policies jackhammered the pumps with. Conversely, Trump’s admin just diverted a billion that would have been wasted in futile wind projects to kicking some West Coast oil rigs into operation so that the West Coast doesn’t have to look to Asian markets to meet their oil needs.

With conflict in the Middle East, and refineries working at capacity, Trump’s drill-baby-drill, closed borders and tough-on-crime strategy was all about one thing… Making America Safe Again.

If only the Dems shared those same priorities.
