Good Fathers Don’t Raise Weak Sons – Pt 6
Doug and Rich working their way down that list of success principles

You know where to find the highest concentration of ‘potential’ on the planet? Any typical graveyard. This list is for people who would rather live a life where people talk about your legacy instead of a list of ‘what-ifs’ and ‘if-onlys’.
Is your little Skippy Junior a tornado of talent? Then he needs to know he’s in danger. In fact, he’s in far more danger of being the ‘I coulda been a contender’ guy than some dirt-under-the-fingernails bro with a 95 IQ. Because there’s something far more important than talent that dictates how far you go in life.
Doug and Rich dig into the thing that takes you so much further than talent. But there’s more to cover, too.
How about the ‘Contra Mundum’ sense of your own core principles?
Do you know how to strike the balance in that health spot between conspiracy theory lone wolf hermit with his own hot take on every passing fad on one end and the lobotomized sheeple that will take as gospel any official government or cultural dictat given from on high, no matter how much it chafes against what you know to be true?
Are you a rock holding its ground against the force of a river? Or are you just another kite on a string.
That ‘standing alone’ bit comes alongside another principle: self-reliance. Did you find yourself in a hole? You could cry and wait to be rescued, or you can take stock of your situation and work toward a solution.

While you’re at it, here’s Doug’s latest book:
If a person looked to Scripture and paid particular attention to the passages within the Bible that address the topic of hunting, then they’d walk away thinking not only is hunting animals tolerated but it is endorsed by God. And that’s exactly what this little book is about: proving that God, from Genesis to Revelation, is extremely cool with hunters and hunting. I’ll go out on a biblical limb and claim right off the bat that you cannot show me, through the balance of the Bible, that the God of the Scripture is against the responsible killing and the grilling of the animals He created. ~Doug Giles
