Hilarious: The Best Argument To Disqualify Swalwell Came From… Swalwell Himself!
That whole scandal about Swalwell not qualifying as a resident just got funnier

With Gavin on his way out, Dems are fighting for the coronation they assume comes with being the Democrat nominee.
With so much at stake, this fight will be gloves off as candidates (and the donor factions that back them) are fighting to get their puppet (sorry, candidate) across the finish line in the primaries.
One of the subplots in this drama is the eligibility of Swalwell, who hasn’t actually LIVED in the state he pretends to represent in years. As recent news has raised about a few prominent Dems recently, including questions about sketchy real estate deals, primary residences have often been in the heart of the swamp, while the state they claim to represent is an afterthought if they even live there at all.
We’ll come back to Swalwell’s residency in a moment, but first we need to look at how Swalwell got his role as an elected rep in the first place.
Harmeet Dhillon happens to live in California, and took an interest in this story’s subplot.
When Eric Swalwell first ran for Congress, he ran against this guy, Rep Fortney ‘Pete’ Stark:

How did Swalwell BEAT him? In part, he won the seat because there was an investigation into Stark claiming a Maryland home as his principal residence while serving as a rep from California. That investigation led to an official Congressional Report as to improper conduct… back when they still cared about such matters.

You can see where this is going, right?
Swalwell leveraged that scandal to take his seat from him.
And Harmeet has brought that back to the attention of the public.

Here’s why bringing that history up is like a knife in Swalwell’s back:
When Swalwell’s residency status (a requirement for the job of Governor) was questioned, the married father of three claims to meet that residency requirement this way:
Public records show the Livermore home is a 3-bedroom, 1,350-square-foot house owned by Nicolas and Kristina Mrzywka. Kristina is the sister of Stephanie Sbranti, the wife of Tim Sbranti, Swalwell’s former deputy chief of staff and district director. Sbranti reportedly suggested Swalwell rent the room as an ‘affordable base’ in the district. Deed searches show no other property ownership for Swalwell in California, while he is listed as the buyer of a home in Washington, D.C. in 2022 that he claims as his primary residence.
Swalwell began renting the room in Livermore in June 2017.

Are we to believe that a married father of three lives out of a single rented room in California?
Or does Swalwell just believe Dem voters in Cali are just dumb enough to ignore the very same failing that he claimed was enough to disqualify his predecessor?
In his defence, after having seen the OTHER candidates Cali keeps electing into office, he might actually be on to something there.
