WATCH: Trump’s Easter Message Looks NOTHING Like Joe Biden’s Did

It’s not actually true that a politician will say anything. Many, in fact, are far more honest in their omissions than in what they explicitly say. Easter weekend gives us an opportunity to compare Trump and ‘that other guy’.

In the year since Trump’s been back at the helm the memory of that 4-year interregnum is almost like waking from a bad dream. So much has happened since then that it almost seems a distant memory.

Throughout Trump’s Presidency, media and NeverTrump conservatives hardly ever missed a chance to chide the Christians who elected him that Trump is NOT a good and decent Christian man. He’s a fraud. It’s a grift. And just LOOK at that photo-op where he walked across Lafayette! Remember how Biden’s incompetent stooge, General Milley raged at Trump for doing that? (Funny how the general who had been subversively back-channeling with China during the Trump years didn’t have a single criticism of his political master when Biden had him re-enact the Fall of Saigon in Kabul.)

On the other hand, the same Media that never missed a chance to bash Christians in the Trump years suddenly found a deep and abiding love of religion the day they knew Super-Catholic Joe Biden, their true ‘defender of the faith’ was packing his bags to live in the White House.

Here’s an example of Joe Biden’s deeply Christian message that first Easter of his time in office.

What do we see here? We see ‘Easter season’, a generic reference to joy and Easter being a time where we celebrate ‘resurrection and renewal’. Again, no specific reference to any resurrection in particular, or what group of people might find Easter to be special. The guy make efforts to recognize all kinds of different days. But for some reason, he always waters down the Christian ones.

He made the most banal and non-specific scripture reference he possibly could ‘joy comes in the morning’. Again, no reference to what book, or which author may have penned those words. Just scripture. Small-s. Generic. Just like the ‘faith, hope, and love’. Absent the context of faith in WHAT specific thing, Hope of WHAT specific future, Love of Whom, that passion reference of St. Paul’s letter to the Corintians is robbed of any transcendent meaning, and is shoehorned into an otherwise unremarkable political speech.

That unremarkable political speech is MAINLY about… as you might have guessed by the mask being worn by the giant freaking bunny… the virus. In other words, man’s hope in secular solutions. Pretty much the antithesis of the faith Biden was propped up as a defender of. (Which tracks well with how he governed. Just ask the Catholics he arrested or had his FBI try to spy on.)

Contrast Super-Saint Joe’s Easter message to the Easter Message delivered by a man who we are repeatedly told is a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Heathen.

Forbes put up a video of the whole speech. For those who are interested in the broader context of the short clip above, this video opens with the President talking about current events and what various people around the room have been doing in his administration. He addressed Iran, obviously, and took his time talking about the role JD will have on cracking down on fraud, with a couple of specific examples in mind. After about 20 minutes of his usual banter, he turned his attention to some clergy in attendance, acknowledged them and their work, and had this to say about Easter:

About five full minutes of the hour-long luncheon speech covered Christian topics. An in-depth description of Easter. The role of churches. The need for the nation to embrace faith. The legacy of the Pilgrims. All of it.

From there he segued to an obvious policy topic: men in women’s sports, and off to a panoply of other political topics.

But in those five short minutes, it’s a safe bet that Trump made a clearer and stronger defence of the gospel than Biden did in the entirety of his time in a lifetime of political service.

All of the NeverTrumpers who use their faith as an excuse to hate on him might want to take some time of self-reflection and ask themselves why the guy they hate so much is bolder in expressing their faith than (frankly) even many of them are.

It’s just possible that Trump is NOT the one who’s been letting personal political idolatry influence their religious expression.
