Antifa Assembles ‘Militia’ To Cancel Chloe Cole’s TPUSA Event In Seattle

A year ago she might have risked the threats of violence. But after Charlie Kirk was murdered in broad daylight? These threats are being taken seriously.

It began as an ordinary TPUSA event, where a speaker — in this case, Chloe Cole — was invited to have one of the signature open-forum town-hall sorts of persuasion events where the speaker addresses the crowd and then shows how to answer hostile questions with decency and grace.

Once again, however, we see that the left is aggressively hostile bullying rivals into silence, even when there is a genuine opportunity for honest dialogue and good-faith disagreement on fraught issues.

Chloe Cole is a ‘controversial’ speaker to the activist left because she is the voice of someone who HAD medically transitioned female-to-male beginning when she was only 12 years old, including puberty blockers and a double mastectomy, but she regretted those decisions when she was seventeen (!). After de-transitioning, she has been sharing the story of her experiences to raise awareness about transition from a perspective OTHER than those who belong to a community with an intrinsic pro-transition bias, or who arguably have some strong (direct or indirect) financial incentives to continue supporting gender transition activism.

For all their professed love of ‘lived experience’ among the activist class — a phrase often thrown around to trump objective reality itself — political activists in Seattle are VERY opposed to her sharing her own ‘lived experience’. Imagine that.

Jason Rants shared a story about the group that ginned up outrage, here’s a taste of it:

Antisemitic student groups at the University of Washington (UW) are calling on supporters to storm a Turning Point USA event featuring Chloe Cole on Tuesday, calling the mainstream conservative student organization a “Nazi” “hate group” and demanding the school revoke its campus standing. It’s an ironic charge given the same activist network has spent years running cover for Hamas.

The UW Divestment Campaign and Students for a Democratic Society at UW posted the protest call on Instagram this weekend, urging followers to show up at Kane Hall on May 13 with drums and anything else capable of making noise. TPUSA UW, a registered student organization, had scheduled Cole to speak from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 210 as part of its “Pick Up the Mic Initiative.” Cole is a de-transitioner, someone convinced to transition genders before realizing she was taken advantage of by gender extremists.
[…] Beyond disrupting Tuesday’s event, the groups want UW to take four specific actions: cancel all upcoming TPUSA events, revoke TPUSA’s registered student organization status, ban TPUSA from hosting any campus activities, and “publicly denounce the hate group and stand in solidarity with trans students and workers.” — Seattle Red

She’s not backing down. She’s calling them ‘Antifa’ and is taking the threat seriously. PostMillenial, who has been following Antifa’s work in Washington for years has also called them ‘Antifa-linked activists‘.

There wasn’t enough time to ramp up adequate security to respond properly to the stated threats, so she has postponed, yes postponed, the speech.

She does plan to reschedule it for a future date. And she plans to keep going to campuses with a traditional message of being made in the image of God, and living in a world where the truth eventually wins out and Christ and his message cannot be overcome.

As for the Antifa-linked crowd whipping up violent mobs? They seem to have forgotten we’re not in Biden’s America anymore.

Antifa has been named a domestic terror group. And threats of violence to silence a peaceful assembly? That sounds like the kind of group the DOJ would love to make an example out of… especially after the LAST attempt to silence a TPUSA speaker ended with a murder investigation.
