WATCH: New York Artist Gives Mamdani A Personalized Tribute
I don't think the artist really likes him
His name is Scott Labadio, and he’s unveiling a larger-than-life sculpture in New York as his tribute to the new mayor of New York City.
He has an odd way of pronouncing ‘city’ that might give a clue that this tribute is not being delivered by Mamdani’s biggest fan.
What he lacks in enthusiastic support, he more than makes up for in enthusiastic use of his first amendment rights to express his views to his elected representative.
To call this particular sculpture ‘larger than life’ is almost laughable. This is the grandiose NYC version of larger-than-life. In fact, it’s hard to imagine anything that would capture MORE of a New York vibe than this particular piece.

He was kind enough to wheel it over to the governor’ mansion.
It even has a name plate affixed to it. In Italian, it seems.
I’ll not spoil the surprise by translating what ‘Vaffanculo’ means.
Suffice to say you probably shouldn’t say it in front of any Italian friends who are easily offended.
