Home secretary warns people traffickers will exploit asylum seekers because they decide who comes to the UK

That headline was from the Guardian, this past Sunday.

Have you heard anyone talking about it?

You might not know her name, so here’s the thumbnail Wiki writeup:

Shabana Mahmood is a British politician and barrister who has been serving as Home Secretary since 2025. She previously served as Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor from 2024 to 2025. A member of the Labour Party, she has been Member of Parliament for Birmingham Ladywood since 2010.

She’s the UK’s Home Secretary. That’s more or less the Venn diagram overlap between the American Homeland Security and US Attorney General. She also happens to be a Muslim with a sympathetic view to the Palestinian cause. But she is NOT mincing words about who is swarming into the country by boat.

She is claiming that almost EVERY woman coming across the Channel on a raft is a rape victim. Which says something about the men coming in with them, one might think.

Speaking to the former Tory minister Rory Stewart and Tony Blair’s former close adviser Alastair Campbell, she said sexual abusers would exploit most asylum seekers as long as traffickers continued to decide who came to the UK.

She said: “We’re not in control of this border. The sifting of the people that end up in the north of France and are about to get on a dinghy is done by criminal gangs who are also, by the way, people traffickers.

“You can almost guarantee that every woman that’s in the north of France has probably been raped along the journey. Some of the men too, they’ve certainly been abused and threatened. That is not the model that should decide whether somebody gets to come to the UK, make this their place of sanctuary and ultimately become one of us.” — Guardian

That’s not Nigel Farage complaining about immigration.

It’s not Tommy Robinson’s group. Or the ordinary citizens trying hard to stop the police from helping the boats flood towns with more and more of such ‘migrants’, presumably filled with both victims and their abusers, and notably far more male than female ‘asylum’ claimants. This is the Labour Party’s Home Secretary speaking in her official capacity.

The women are trafficked and raped. So are some of the men.

And the people responsible for such harrowing stats are quietly(?) flooding the streets of sleepy towns and villages across the UK.

In sharp contrast to the UK acknowledging it is willfully allowing itself to be flooded with the worst sorts of criminals, it just so happens that we’re also hearing news about the significant uptick of attempted crossing of the US border by people with terrorist intent (per the CBP‘s own stats):

Meanwhile, the Democrats are not only enthusiastically in support of open borders, aggressively opposed to any attempts to purge the country of anyone who came here illegally, entirely prepared to restart the flood that we saw under Biden… but at the very same time, both ICE and the police who enforce not only border laws, but the prosecution of human traffickers are HATED by Democrats who actively want to defund them.

They tried to close the government over exactly that issue.

But they pretend to ‘care’ about how expensive life gets. That will only supercharge inflation and accelerate the collapse of Medicare/Medicaid.
