Time for Bergdahl to Meet Eddie Slovik…in Hell

On December 23rd, 1944 something happened. General Dwight D. Eisenhower signed an order to execute Eddie Slovik. Who was Eddie Slovik? He was the first man executed by firing squad for the crime of desertion since the Civil War.

Let’s just clarify right now, what is desertion? Desertion is defined as follows – a military person has committed the crime of Desertion if he/she is AWOL, and intends to remain away from the military permanently. Desertion is a major crime in the US Military. It’s punishable under Article 85 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. A military person who is AWOL for 30 days or more is administratively classified as a Deserter.

Being a deserter is a pretty big deal. Actually it’s punishable by death. No messing around. No slap on the wrist. No medal for participation so you can go home and lie to your girlfriend about what a badass you were. People die when you desert. Real people died because of Bowe Bergdahl and his desertion. Roughly between 6 and 10 deaths are attributed directly to searching for and trying to recover this POS.

Oh, and there’s more. Remember when President Barack Obama had a party in the Rose Garden. He flirted uncomfortably with the deserter’s mom. She seemed to enjoy it. Then Obama traded five mid-to-high level Gitmo terrorists to get Bergdahl back from his Islamic terrorist “captors”. Mark my words we have not seen the last of those Gitmo-Altar-boys, lovingly named The Gitmo Five. They’ll be back and preaching peace no doubt. Count on it.

Bowe Bergdahl is no hero. He admitted his sin and recently plead guilty in a military court.

“I left my observation post on my own,” Bergdahl told a judge. “I understand leaving was against the law.”

Bergdahl faces up to five years for desertion and up to life in prison for the crime of misbehavior before the enemy.

Eddie Slovik cries from the grave! Bergdahl deserves to die a traitor’s death.

President Obama stood in the Rose Garden and betrayed the American people with the Bergdahl swap. The military has interviewed every soldier who served with Bergdahl. They’ve spoken to every person who might know the truth. The report is written. Bergdahl claimed innocence for a time, but the truth has come out. He deserted and good men died because of it.

If “Ike” were president, Eddie Slovik would have a buddy to play cards with in hell…but no, he’ll likely get a strong prison sentence and everyone will forget about him. After a few years he’ll be released for good behavior and slip into obscurity.

Sgt. Evan Buetow served with the coward, Bowe Bergdahl as his Platoon Leader. He was asked if anyone in the platoon didn’t think Bergdahl was a deserter. His answer was…unequivocally no, not one. He actually said this, “There’s not one person who disagrees. I know—I have a list of people that the general spoke to during this investigation. It’s everyone from the platoon, and I know exactly what they said.”

The truth is Bowe Bergdahl is a deserter and a traitor to his friends and his country. If anyone since WWII deserved the Eddie Slovik treatment it’s this maggot. Will it happen? Not likely.

President Trump has weighed in on what should happen to the deserter, Bowe Bergdahl. “In the good old days, he would have been executed,” Trump said.

We are a country more concerned with coalitions and polls than truth and freedom. Our freedom is a fragile thing. Losing it is so much easier than keeping it. In Dwight’s day, Bergdahl would not be a topic of contention, he’d be dead.

In a world with honor, desertion is punishable by death. There are real American heroes who never came home because of Bergdahl’s traitorous actions. Where is the justice for them? There is none. Our weakness is evident to everyone but ourselves. America, hang on, this is gonna get bumpy.

“History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid.” –Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower.
