How blind with Trump Derangement Syndrome is the younger generation? This video reveals it.
Campus Reform’s Cabot Phillips often goes to do man-on-the-street interviews with college students. It’s interesting to see how uniform they are in their opinions.
In this episode, Phillips went to the campus of American University to discuss the issue of the Border Wall. He brought with him some of the really hot takes by President Trump about the need for a wall at the southern border.
Students called the statements ‘dehumanizing’, ‘jingoistic’, and ‘hateful speech’.
Oh, wait. That wasn’t President Trump at all. Those were quotes by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer.
“Illegal Immigration is wrong, plain and simple. Until the American people are convinced we will stop future flows of illegal immigration, we will make no progress.” -Senator Chuck Schumer, 2009
“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented and unchecked” -Barack Obama, 2005
“I voted numerous times… to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in. And I do think you have to control your borders.” -Hillary Clinton, 2008

So how did they react when they learned that it was prominent Democrats that had made those statements denouncing illegal immigration and calling for a ‘barrier’ at the border?

Some of those students were so shocked that Democrats could hold those views.
Now that we’re judging people and determining whether or not they should be permitted to do their job based on comments made in the past, I think that means re-election for Chuck Schumer is going to be pretty tough, Hillary’s 2020 dreams can finally be sidelined, and Barry’s inevitable stint as the Secretary-General of the U.N. may not be so inevitable.
I guess that also means that there won’t be any statues in their honor in the near future, amirite?
No, wait. They’re Democrats, so they get a free pass to ‘evolve’ on their positions.
But really, this is no ‘evolution’ — this is pandering to the #ResistTrump! base.
