Gun-Grabbers Slapped With Constitution In Ruling Over Changes To Minimum Gun-Purchasing Age

[Note: this article may contain commentary reflecting the views of the author.]

Democrats have made up their mind. They hate the idea of lawful gun owners, and will oppose gun ownership at every opportunity.

Where they can’t ban it outright, they will undercut the rights indirectly by nibbling around the edges. A regulation here, a restriction there, and before long your theoretical right to own a gun is made meaningless by all the red tape that it’s been wrapped in.

One way regulators have nibbled away at those edges is by changing the minimum age of anyone wanting to purchase certain firearms that are otherwise available to all adults eligiable for lawful ownership.

That change has now been tested in court. Biden and his Gun Grabbers will not be happy with the result.

John Corey Fraser, 20 was one of several plaintiffs denied the right to buy a gun because they were not yet 21. They went to court complaining that such a restriction was unconstitutional. They won their case. U.S. District Court Judge Robert Payne described those restrictions as ‘not consistent with out Nation’s history and tradition’.

“If the Court were to exclude 18-to-20-year-olds from the Second Amendment’s protection, it would impose limitations on the Second Amendment that do not exist with other constitutional guarantees,” he opined. Payne cited the Supreme Court’s 2022 Bruen decision, which determined that any gun control must be consistent with the country’s history and traditions surrounding firearm regulation.
The judge contended that the government had not shown “any evidence of age-based restrictions on the purchase or sale of firearms from the colonial era, Founding or Early Republic.”

It’s one more data point showing that the Democrats rush to micromanage our lives depend not on their lawful authority to do so, but a pattern of ‘it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission’.

Just like it was with the student debt relief… and the vaccine mandates… and catch-and-release border policy… and CRT policy… and … and… and…

John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.

This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.

The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.

In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.

Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
