ARMOR OF GOD: The Shield Of Faith
Sermon recorded at Liberty Fellowship, Wimberley Texas

A soldier’s shield has exactly one job: keep the solider it’s protecting from getting slaughtered. But for it to be any use, that soldier’s gotta be holding it.
Its a shield of faith and we’re called to ‘take it up’, not leave it on the mantlepiece.
Don’t go looking to ride on the coat-tails of someone else’s faith. This is a pass-fail kind of a test far which too many Christians have been finding themselves on the short end of the stick.
Taking up the shield of faith is not some passive exercise. It’s not some empty ritual. It’s knowing who you are, WHOSE you are, and knowing you can count on the promises of the one who sends you charging into hell with a squirt gun.
There’s a lot the enemy can throw your way. Condemnation. Doubt. Temptations and distractions of a thousand different kinds. But with your shield held high, you need not fear those firey darts. They’ll be stopped and quenched.
And that’s just part of the story. For the rest, the really meaty parts, you’ll have to hear the whole message.
