Their ONLY job is to inform the public about the NEWS surrounding the policies and interactions of the Leader of the Free World… but the best they can offer is catty gossip.

It’s not even TMZ-level catty gossip. It’s more like the supermarket tabloid kind where some D-list celeb is always pregnant with an extra-terrestrial baby.

And this time, there’s a glorious Obama connection the press will NOT want to acknowledge.

The same media that after four years of attesting to his towering intellect was dumbstruck to discover that the 46th president was in far worse mental shape than even his conservative critics might have guessed, and who assured us that the only scandal Barack Obama has ever faced had to do with his tan suit has weighed in on Trump’s visit to pay his respects to the late Pope Francis.

They focused their energies on two aspects of his visit.

1) A moment where his eyes are closed.
2) The color of his suit

The first one was presented as ‘falling asleep’ during a funeral and held up as an egregious breech of protocol.

Should we take those criticisms at face value? Here’s three reasons we should not.

i) An innocent explanation: for example head down and eyes closed at a funeral is not uncommon, especially at moments of reflection and prayer.

ii) Outrageously dishonest framing in past public appearances for the express purposes of diminishing him… one of the most glaring examples is when they deceptively edited his feeding of Koi fish with the Japanese president to make it look like he was a dumb brash American, rather than a guest following the precise lead of his host. The raw footage showed us the part they tried to hide which completely changed the story.

iii) Stubborn refusal of the press to so much as report on the times that Joe Biden seemed to doze off in the middle of meetings where closing his eyes for a moment of prayer was NOT a plausible explanation — like a G7 meeting, for instance.

The color of the suit.

This is the first of TWO Obama tie-ins is the more obvious but by far the lesser offence on the media’s part.

The color of Trump’s suit.

As you can see, Trump wore a dark blue suit to the funeral.

But it’s hard to tell which one is him… because so did a bunch of other people.

This reminds me of a story… whatever could it be?

Not droning Americans, wiretapping journalists, hacking into the senate or looking the other way over Crossfire Hurricane’s inciting incidents. No, the tan suit is the real scandal.

Uh-huh.

Here’s what they’re hoping you’ll forget.

It was Nelson Mandela’s funeral.

Kind of a big deal. Not the place for goofing off and carrying on.

Even Michelle knew he was way out of line here.

Sure he’s giggling and taking selfies at a funeral.

But at least he was wearing the right color jacket.

The former president was seated just five rows behind the current US leader, but that didn’t stop Biden from giving him the death stare as he kept him in his sights throughout the proceedings.

‘Despite being a couple of rows back, Biden’s long stare in Trump’s direction suggests a near-obsessive desire to watch his successor in the role he still clearly believes should be his,’ body language expert, Judi James, told the DailyMail.com.
[…] The only thing that broke Biden’s worth-a-thousand-words stare was when a woman moved in front of him, blocking his view of the 47th US president.

Ironically, both the 46th and 47th presidents were out of dress code for the religious event, as Biden was caught wearing a blue tie and Trump a blue suit.
