Hey Partisan Left: If You’re The Party Of Love And Tolerance — Explain THIS Video
Little do they realize, they're telling on themselves here.
There was a time when regular Dems and Republicans could differ on policy but still accept the humanity of the other side. So what’s happening here?
We keep hearing how the Political Right is responsible for all manner of hate and evil. Hearing about how we revel in the misery of our political opponents. How the onus is on team MAGA to ‘turn down the temperature’ in political conflict that is spilling over into violence.
One lefty let her mask slip and was a little more honest about what she thinks the real world is like in a video she put out, making some sweeping accusations against MAGA — but also against her own party. We’ve seen enough of how her team has celebrated the misery of those they hate to know it’s not an isolated event, either. It may not (yet) be a majority position, but trend lines tell us it’s growing more commonplace almost every day.
We’ve got a clip of some Tiktok lefty getting a little too honest about her thoughts about political schadenfreude. On it’s own, it’s an insignificant moment. But seen in the context of a larger pattern? It speaks volumes.

The text in that video is short enough that it’s easy to cite:
‘Go ahead MAGA, admit it. When you see California burning, you like yeah (holds big thumbs up). You know why I know that? Because every time I hear hurricanes coming or a bigass tornado I always say ‘please, please, let it only hit the white trailer courts and especially the ones with the Dixie flag’, so yeah. At least I’m not afraid to admit it.’
There’s just one flaw in her logic. Admitting something only works if the accusation is true. She looks over at us and sees seething balls of hatred eager to see the destruction of those we assume are worse than us because of, what, political differences?
Chick, please. ClashDaily is on record, not hoping for the demise of RBG, but for a retirement announcement so she could spend her final few years in quietness surrounded by loved ones. When we see a disaster looming, our hopes and prayers are that it hits the least populated places possible, and that as many people make it to safety as humanly possible.
Who does she think shows up with groups like Samaritan’s Purse when the bottom drops out of peoples’ lives after a crisis? Guys like the ‘Cajun Navy’, of every color and creed stepping up and showing up when the call for help goes out. A lot of them are exactly the kind of people and especially blue-collar workers she went out of her way to single out for her bigoted diatribe.
It’s unfortunate for the point she’s trying to make that she uses the example of California wildfires in her attempt to call the rest of us monsters. Because the arsonist behind it has been caught. He has bought into the same war-of-us-vs-them thinking she so perfectly illustrates in her video. He burned a Bible as an act of ‘liberation’, and gave ChatGPT AI prompts in which fire consumed a forest, and the rich people lock out thousands of poor people out in harm’s way while watch them suffer. That guy, a Biden supporter, is now charged with setting the Pallisades fire… you know, the BIG one in California just days before Trump took office? The one that burned up rich neighborhoods?
She sits there, as a member of the party which has shown shocking levels of support in polls for the assassination of people like Trump or Elon, who cheered ‘Luigi’ as a hero for shooting a stranger in the back, and celebrated when a crazed gunman went looking for NFL brass and happened to murder a manager from Blackrock as if he was come kind of liberating hero and not a psychopath, looks at MAGA and assumes we have hatred in our hearts.
Those same polls do NOT show the right as justifying assassination or embracing political violence. Becuase we haven’t drunk deeply of the idea that our opponents are irredeemable monsters. Are they a royal pain in our ass? Sure. But that’s within the scope of ordinary human interaction. You don’t treat a pain in the ass the same way you do a virus, a vermin, or a moral monster in the category of a certain Adolf with a ridiculous moustache.
Charlie Kirk, even at the moment he was murdered, modelled his life on the very same Bible that the leftwing Pallisades arsonist had burned as an act of ‘liberation’. Charlie engaged in respectful dialogue with those he disagreed with, hoping to win them over, as Paul would say it, ‘that I may by all means same some’
Charlie’s widow, even after the assassination, forgave the killer that robbed her of her husband, and their children of their father.
What TikTok lady seems to have forgotten, if ever she understood it, is that many of us who would broadly described as ‘traditionalists’ love our ‘enemies’ for a long list of reasons. First, Christ commands it. Because every man, woman, and child — by reason of bearing the image of God — is of equal worth to Him in the currency of Heaven.
But there are other very good reason, too. This one more pragmatic. History shows us that some of the greatest champions of our ideas — whether religious or political — are found among those who began among those who once opposed us.
Let us remember: Ronald Reagan was once a Democrat.
And even more importantly? Some guy from Tarsus was known for zealously killing Christians and dragging them off in chains… until he had the OG ‘Damascus Experience’ and became a powerful tool in the hand of a Gracious God.
They presume to look into our hearts, and tell themselves stories about what they see there. They have little choice but to assume we are driven by the same hatred for them that they have for us. And how could we expect otherwise?
Those assumptions lead to the permission structure to ‘punch a Nazi’… and worse once you’ve convinced yourselves that your neighbor is the very worst sort of person and deserves whatever he has coming. It’s why Jesus went out of his way to use the Samaritans (yes, them!) as a teaching aid of what we are really called to in Christian love.
Some of the folks who share the vies of this TikToker are so trapped in their rage that they have no reference point in which they can see their ‘enemies’ as merely ‘wrong’ rather than a grave and dangerous evil to be apposed. (Existential threat to democracy, anyone?) How bitter of a pill would it be for the perpetually morally-superior to imagine their opponents as more high-minded than they themselves are?
It’s going to be a tough sell, even with the truth on our side.
But by God’s grace, if we keep trying, they may one day come to see the world differently… and maybe some that are shrouded in this kind of angry darkness can have light break through the cracks to open their eyes to a whole new way of thinking.
Honestly, it’s the best path forward from where we stand today.
