B’BYE REPUBLICAN PARTY: An Open Letter to My Abuser

Dear Establishment Republican Party,

It pains me to say it, but it is what it is. I trusted you, and you betrayed me.

This day has been a long time coming, but I think that I have finally overcome the self-blame, guilt and despair that has made me continue to believe that someday you might actually change and do what you promised to do. Time and again you have broken your promises, and I now realize that it’s not me, it’s you. I have finally found the strength to state the obvious; specifically, that it’s not my fault. It’s yours. Like all abusers, you are the one who have serious emotional and psychological issues. You are the serial liar. You are the one who deliberately and with premeditation, deceived me, and the one who continues to lie to me to get what you want. Yes, I guess I enabled you but continuing to trust you, hanging on, hoping that you would finally do the right thing, but now I see what’s going on.

Seeing the many scars I bear, people sometimes ask me “Why don’t you just leave? Why do you continue to be played for a fool?” As any victim of serial abuse can tell you, leaving is easier said than done. I bought into the idea that I needed to stay because the alternative was so much worse. That’s what you told me. You also told me you would protect me from that alternative, which you claimed you feared as much as I did, and even vowed to fight to defeat it. You didn’t. You lied, and abused me some more.

I refer to your promise to offer some opposition to Barack Obama’s intentional and calculated destruction of our country, which he promised even before he was first elected in 2008, when he vowed to “remake” America. I didn’t think the country I grew up in needed remaking, and you told me you agreed. Yet, you stood by while Obama flouted our laws, and blew his nose on the Constitution. He gave the finger to Congress, which we entrusted to you, subordinating the will of the people to the will of the detestable United Nations. He has dissed our allies and built up our enemies, all as payback to “unfair” and “racist” America.

Don’t give me that hurt look. The scales have fallen from my eyes, and I see clearly. Here are just a few examples of how you have betrayed my trust.

Amnesty
In November 2014, after Barack Obama announced his lawless amnesty for approximately 5 million more illegal aliens, something clearly designed to dramatically alter the demographics of the country before the next presidential election, did you fight with all you had to stop it? We don’t want amnesty for millions of illegals, particularly the poorly-educated, low-skilled people with a propensity for government dependency who are your natural constituents. We see the serious problems that they bring with them. You had the power to defund the Department of Homeland Security in order to hold Obama’s feet to the fire. Instead you folded, voting to fund the department completely and without exception through the end of the fiscal year. When one of our own, Sen. Ted Cruz, tried to stand up for the rule of law and the Constitution, you smacked him down. Why does it seem that you fight harder for Obama’s lawlessness than you do against it? It seems that way because you do.

In recent weeks, we have been confronted with the sickening reality that not all illegal aliens come here “out of love,” or simply to work and provide a better life for their families. We have heard the heart-breaking tales of murdered Americans, some of whom were tortured as well. We see that the Obama Regime has released tens of thousands of illegal alien criminals, over a hundred of whom between 2010 and 2014 committed “homicide-related offenses“.

Emboldened by your fecklessness, Obama is doubling down on amnesty. From the July 22, 2015 edition of the Washington Free Beacon:

The Obama administration is moving forward with plans to expand a waiver program that will allow additional illegal aliens to remain in the country rather than apply for legal status from abroad.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a proposed rule on Tuesday that would make changes to a waiver program created by President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration in 2013. The action created a waiver that primarily allowed illegal immigrants with a U.S. citizen spouse or parent to stay in the country instead of having to leave the United States and be barred from returning for three or 10 years, if they proved their absence would create an “extreme hardship” for their spouse.

The new rule expands eligibility to a host of other categories of illegal immigrants beyond those with citizen spouses and parents.

“DHS proposes to expand the class of aliens who may be eligible for a provisional waiver beyond immediate relatives of U.S. citizens to aliens in all statutorily eligible immigrant visa categories,” the proposed rule stated. “Such aliens include family-sponsored immigrants, employment-based immigrants, certain special immigrants, and Diversity Visa program selectees, together with their derivative spouses and children.”

Barack Obama is playing a cynical political game with our national security and the safety of Americans. What are you doing about it? Are you so beholden to your campaign contributors and the Chamber of Commerce that you don’t care if the country is destroyed?

Abuse of Power
Barack Obama’s breathtaking abuse of the power of the federal government has harmed millions of Americans. Stung by the Democrats’ defeat in the 2012 election, he decided he needed to do something to stop us from exercising our right to petition the government for a redress of grievances. He unleashed the agency Americans fear most, the IRS, which we now know colluded with the Justice Department and other federal agencies, on American citizens, tasking them with persecuting them and bullying them into silence. Lying harridan Lois Lerner, who had a great deal of experience using thuggish intimidation against those who disagree with her, set much of this despicable behavior in motion. The Obama administration’s chosen water carrier, former U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen, announced that he had decided to not prosecute her, amazingly on the day before he left office. There has been virtually no consequence for the stunning and disgraceful handling of this case. Why aren’t you demanding that there be some once and for all?

National Sovereignty and Foreign Policy
Barack Obama just gave you, and by extension, the American people, the finger by taking his plan to facilitate Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons to the U.N. before the Congress had the opportunity to vote on it. Now, you are running around whining about how outrageous that fact is, and yet, like everything else Obama has done, it was perfectly predictable. Are you really such fools that you thought that moronic Corker amendment, surrendering the Treaty clause of the Constitution, would accomplish anything? Now that’s a real corker!
Our Secretaries of Energy and State spent the weekend making the rounds on television shows, conducting a clinic on lying and revisionist history. “Anywhere, anytime inspections”? That was never part of the deal, they said.

Now we discover that the International Atomic Energy Agency, the bunch that is supposed to conduct the inspections, and Iran have made secret side deals. When this disturbing development came to light today, some of you engaged in your typical feigned outrage, but will that translate into ANYTHING?

As I said, you are the one with serious psychological problems, and I am done enabling you. In the past, like all battered victims, I have come crawling back. but in 2016, that’s over. You need to step aside, and let someone who is prepared to fight for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the future of this country be the GOP standard bearer. Otherwise, we will stay home.
