A Bucket List in the Face of Obama/Reid/Pelosi … and Cory Booker!
With the election of Newark Mayor, Cory Booker, the voters of New Jersey have once again confirmed their support of the Obama/Reid/Pelosi/liberal-leftist Democrat, deficit, tax-and-spend agenda.
With the US federal deficit now surpassing $17 trillion – and a continuing federal spending deficit in excess of $700 billion – with no end in sight – the citizens of New Jersey have clearly voted for more of the same – more government entitlements – more deficit spending – more borrowing – and a continuation of Obama’s sluggish economy.
Apparently, Garden Staters are not bothered by the obvious failed leadership of the liberal-leftist Democrats in control of the federal legislature and economy since 2007 – and presidency since 2009. Their bungling and stumbling are to be sustained regardless of the disastrous consequences on the horizon for our children, grandchildren, etc.
One need look no further than the ObamaCare implementation fiasco to appreciate the incompetence of the Obama/Reid/Pelosi/liberal-leftist Democrats. ObamaCare is Pres. Obama’s signature “accomplished” and yet, after three years, it’s implementation is a debacle of the first order.
Hopefully, Cory Booker will help fix the leadership problems in the Senate and administration – but I doubt it. He has done little to fix the jobs and economic problems in Newark. Like Obama, he is a self promoter, a charismatic and colorful speech maker with little demonstrated leadership and managerial ability. Like Democrats of recent decades, Booker will be a tax-and-spend supporter of the Democrat practice of passing our bills on to future generations. I suspect Booker will kiss-up to the Obama administration and Senate leader, Harry Reid, and the liberal-leftist media – while continuing his self-promotion priorities.
As the American people face the Obama/Reid/Pelosi – and now Booker! – steamroller, we must continue to focus on those truths and policies that will challenge them and get our nation back on track.
The Republican Party, the Conservatives, the Libertarians, the Independents, etc. would enhance their political prospects by communicating their values and principles as succinctly as in the Bucket List. To sell the voters, use the KISS Principle: “Keep It Simple, Salesman.” Call it …
BUCKET LIST FOR 2013/14:
1. Obama: Gone!
2. Put “GOD” back in America !!!
3. Borders: Closed!
4. Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else .
5. Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!
6. Language: English only!
7. Culture: Constitution, and the Bill of Rights!
8. Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before and during Welfare!
9. NO freebies to Non-Citizens!
10. Balance the budget.
11. Stop giving away our money to foreign countries! Charge them for our help! We need it here.
12. Fix the TAX CODE!
And most of all …
13. “RESPECT OUR MILITARY AND OUR FLAG!!”
