Obama’s Gun Control Efforts Are Not Only DISHONEST, They’re Also…

A month after the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California, the Obama Administration has decided to issue a series of gun control measures via executive order, with particular emphasis on expanded background checks. Needless to say, such action is unconstitutional because Obama has chosen to bypass Congress (like he has done on numerous occasions) and because such action is in violation of the Second Amendment.

Obama claims such measures will save lives, but this is highly unlikely due to the availability of guns on the black market.

Obama then decided to have a town hall meeting about gun control on CNN, only to be confronted by Kimberly Corban, who was raped in 2006 while she was in college. Corban pointed out that such restrictions would make her and her family less safe. Obama replied that his actions would not make it harder for her to purchase a firearm and that concealed carry laws are determined at the state level. Obama then said individual has to be well-trained when it comes to shooting a gun in order to prevent any tragic accidents.

So when trying to make sense of (and refute) Obama’s twisted logic, I will present the following points:
— Accidental gun deaths are tragic, but they are not as commonplace as liberals claim.
— Firearms courses are helpful, but not required, especially since many people are taught about firearms by friends or relatives (e.g. a parent teaching their child how to shoot), including the importance of firearm safety.
— There have been more instances of when a gun is used by a law-abiding private citizen to protect lives or property (e.g. a homeowner confronting a burglar) as opposed to mass shootings — something liberals fail to mention, let alone take notice of. In addition, law enforcement does little to prevent crime, and police officers who respond to a 911 call might not arrive in time to apprehend the perpetrator.
— Having a gun in the home does not make that home less safe.
— Banning guns will only lead to an increase in crime (e.g. Britain, Australia) and mass atrocities (e.g. the Holocaust, the Great Terror under Joseph Stalin), hence disarmed people are neither safe nor free. It will also leave people more vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
— Self-defense is an inalienable right, especially in the Judeo-Christian view.

Obama is trying to do everything he can to do away with the right to bear arms. The American people must not let him succeed.

Share if you think Barack Obama’s most recent gun control efforts are illegal and dishonest.
