The OTHER Guy is a “Bullsh*tter”, Mr. President???

The Weekly Standard ran a tiny piece today, just a few sentences long. It dealt with an interview Rolling Stone magazine had with the president on October 11. At the end of the interview the executive editor of Rolling Stone (Eric Bates), passed on a positive message from his six-year old daughter to the president. The president, reportedly, “grinned” and said this: “You know, kids have good instincts,’ They look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullsh*tter, I can tell.’ ” Uh huh.

Is this news? Tangentially, yes it is. The president’s administration has proven to be nothing but smoke and mirrors for the past four years. The desecration of the Constitution he swore to uphold on the day of his inauguration is only the beginning.
The president’s single-minded dismantling of the country’s structure, while proclaiming values that are the precise opposite of his actions, the countless gaffs, the lies that he churns out every moment that he opens his mouth in public, the inexorable scandals (both domestic and international) and their corresponding concealment only scratch the surface.

One doesn’t have to go very far to unearth an example of a scandal; recent entries include campaign finance fraud, unilateral, unconstitutional acts, and “Fast and Furious”, to name a few. We are in the midst of another such catastrophe right now, getting worse by the second, concerning Benghazi. Americans died, the president lied, and Democrats still bleat about Big Bird, binders and Bush. All of this from “the most transparent presidency” in the history of the nation. About as transparent as a lead shield would be to Superman. Or to ordinary human beings, for that matter.

The president lies as effortlessly and as often as another man breathes. His stories change often as expediency requires it. He doesn’t care that he disavows his own words and actions. Words and actions that are captured for posterity on videotape.
He asserts whatever he chooses to and expects, no, demands, that the public believe him. Examples? How about the president declaring that there “will absolutely not be sequestering” of the military budget, during the last presidential debate? Today we learn that sequestering absolutely is happening, along with permitting the Bush tax rates about to expire. How about insisting that he called the attack in Benghazi a “terror” attack in the Rose Garden of the White House “24 hours after the attack occurred.”? Following two weeks of recorded denials? There isn’t enough space to catalog all of the lies the president has told during the past week alone.

A remark such as this scatological, cowardly, slap at Governor Romney, a comment destined for publication, should tell voters everything they need to know about the president. As if the past four years haven’t told everyone enough already. The president, a self-appointed advocate of “civility” (clearly, except when it suits him), has defaced the presidency almost beyond recognition. It is going to take a man who genuinely loves America to scrub the graffiti off. “The other guy”, specifically, Governor Romney, has flown above every attempt, made by the president and his machine, to tar him. Trying to find dirt isn’t working; there isn’t any dirt. All that is left in the president’s depleted arsenal is insult.

The president says that children “…look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullsh*tter, I can tell.” Really? It is doubtful that Malia and Sasha are permitted to speak this way. It appears that the only “child” in the White House that does speak this way is the incumbent president of the United States. Let’s send him packing on November 6th … with a bar of soap in his mouth.
