Convenient! Saudi Men Agree: Women Cause Sexual Assault, By Being Women

It appears that Saudi men believe women are to blame for the rising cases involving molestation of females on the grounds that they are seduced by women’s excessive make up.
This is not a gag…
The results were part of a survey conducted by the Riyadh-based King Abdulaziz Centre for National Dialogue and involved 992 males and females.
The survey, accepted by Saudi newspapers, found that 86.5% of the men polled believe that women’s “intensification” in wearing make-up is the main cause of the rise in molestation cases in public places in the conservative Gulf Kingdom.
Too much make-up? How much is TOO much?
About 80% of the total persons polled believe lack of deterrent penalties and the absence of specific anti-molestation laws are also to blame for the phenomenon (I’m guessing these were mostly women, if the result is legit).
The report also said 91% of the respondents, 19 and above, believe another factor is the “poor religious sentiment”, while nearly 75% said the problem is caused by lack of awareness campaigns and warning notices at most public places. Hmmm…
Why of course…”awareness campaigns” and “warning notices”!! But what would they say: “Maybelline at your own risk”? “If you want to stay protected, keep your lipstick undetected!”? “Blush must be your own: This is A No-Ho Zone”?
The King Abdulaziz Centre was named after the man who helped expand Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia. Wahhabism is the purest form of Islam…and the most virulent form of the ideology, so…it would not be a stretch to believe that the 86.5% is lower than the actual number…
So, in the Saudi’s economy…and according to this survey…women are just like those referred to in the episode of I Love Lucy when visiting Cousin Ernie (Tennessee Ernie Ford) was warned by his mother about the “painted up, wicked city woman”. Except, Cousin Ernie was from the West and men don’t act like rabid dogs here, as a rule.
With this majority view of women in the Saudi Kingdom…being widely misogynistic…tell me again why the West (which purports to be in favor of respect for women) should continue to regard the opinion of these stalwart members of the He-man Woman-haters club, designed by Muhammed?
Well, we shouldn’t. But try to tell THAT to career-hungry politicos…genuflecting at the House of Saud. Perhaps their hearing will improve when “We The People” demand they actually work for the PEOPLE according to the Constitution, for a change?!
