Congress: Solution For VA Backlog Which Will Burn Your Butt!

Memorial Day is upon us once again…a time when those who are not distracted by sales and BBQs, actually remember to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of strangers like us. And a day when we say “thank you” to those Veterans still with us…and those on active duty (can anyone say Fleet Week)!

Now, when these selfless individuals gave up or postponed future dreams to protect out collective tukis, they were promised that if they were wounded, they could file a claim with the Veterans Health Administration. You know, that multi-billion dollar Department responsible to help wounded warriors, but which has been responsible for multiple Veteran deaths instead, due to a now exposed scandal.

Here’s some good news: The House passed a Bill (H.R.4031) Department of Veterans Affairs Management Accountability Act of 2014 — that would make it easier to fire VA employees and make the department more accountable. It was passed with bipartisan support, with the vote being 390-33-8.

Here’s the infuriating news: The Senate failed to pass the Bill, due to Democrats blocking the Bill.

Ostensibly, this is the Senate’s way to say: Happy Memorial Day, dear Veterans… and here’s our thanks for defending our freedoms: SCREW YOU!

How else can this be received but as flipping our heroes the royal bird?

Well, as one of the employers of Congress, I believe I have the perfect and condign way to resolve the backlog situation…

As an incentive to our representatives (who don’t happen to be doing that, at the moment), I suggest:
— That their Cadillac health insurance plan (for themselves and their families) be given to our wounded warriors, until the backlog is literally resolved.
— Until then, they must pay out-of-pocket for ALL health services for themselves (and their kin).
— If they cannot pay out-of-pocket, then they can sign up at Healthcare.gov…I’m sure they’ll find something to suit their “budget”.
–The 33 that voted “Nay” in the House, pink-slip them at the polls.

BUT, what of the Dems in the Senate that blocked this from a vote?

They should not receive a paycheck, or remuneration for their services of any kind, until the scandal is thoroughly investigated by an outside entity, AND the backlog is no more.

And NONE of the salaries withheld will be returned retroactively. But instead will be given to various Wounded Veterans organizations and programs, far more worthy than their repugnant rumps!

Personally, this makes me apoplectic! Dissing citizens because you forgot that we are your employer, is one thing (and we’ll deal with them in November). BUT, egregiously dissing our wounded champions, who have given so much so they (Congress) are free to Par-tay on the Hill?

Well, let me put it this way: If I wasn’t a lady, they’d require a colorectal surgeon to remove my foot from their Aunt Fannie!

Accountability goes to character. The lack of which is evident in not only our Leftist leader…but his little helper monkeys in Congress. If we are ever to have true accountability back in our government, it MUST begin with keeping the promises we made to those who have served us so faithfully. THAT would be OUR duty.

So…Happy Memorial Day to our Veterans, as we remember our fallen heroes. I, and millions of grateful Americans, will never forget your sacrifice to keep us free…from tyranny.
