LEGALIZED PROSTITUTION: The Evils of the Nordic Model

Prostitution, it is argued, victimises women and is a tool by which men abuse women. However, the real question is why should prostitution be legal and why it is that only clients should be criminalised, but not the prostitute?
The question that must be asked is who the victim is and who is the predator. Owing to the application of the harm principle which purports that as long as one does not “hurt” or “harm” anyone, one has done nothing wrong, modern society has failed to understand who is the real victim and predator. The question that arises, therefore, is what does it mean to be “hurt” or “harmed”?
Modern society generally deems the prostitute to be “hurt” or “harmed” because she is used by clients who pay her to engage in sexual activities. This is a dangerous half-truth. The prostitute is the woman of Proverbs 7 who is brash, rebellious, sly, and of a wicked bitter tongue. She has many victims whom she takes to Hell. She victimises even strong men through her sexual immorality and wicked flattering words. Such are the harlots of today.
The Nordic model, which prides itself on “equity”, seeks to criminalise the client, and not criminalise the prostitute. She is treated by the law as though she is an “innocent victim”. While she may indeed be used by others for sexual gratification, she is a predator. She is a predator by virtue of another seeking to indulge in sexual immorality with her. Prostitutes are harlots – they seduce unsuspecting men who do not know about the moral dangers of indulging in sexual immorality. They lead men to Hell and seduce them into sexual immorality. He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life (Proverbs 7:22:23).
By virtue of this twisted notion of “equity”, the Nordic model legitimises women’s use of their sexuality to exploit unsuspecting men financially, and to destroy their marriages and families. These women then have the legalised excuse to argue that, because she had been offered money for sex, she can then seek to have the client, who would usually be a man, to be fined or placed in jail. Offering people money for sex is despicable. However, it is even more despicable to exploit this fact and pretend that one had “no choice” but to engage in sexual activity when money is given. This is the real face of the Nordic model which supports a woman’s “right” to seduce men and destroy their soul.
Harlots cause people to sin. Jesus, who will come to judge the world, warned that it would be better for whoever causes any of His people to sin to have a millstone tied around his or her neck (Matthew 18:6). Harlots will face God on Judgment Day and be held accountable for their seducing of men.
Shutting down all the whorehouses would be one step to cleanse as nation of wickedness. Only by preaching the Law of God and Gospel will there be change in heart from which wickedness comes.
All have broken God’s Law. Accordingly, we all justly deserve Eternity in Hell. However, God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for our sins. Only through Jesus Christ can one be made right with God – not good works, praying to Mary, Buddha or Mohammed. This is the offensive power of the Gospel which gives Everlasting Life.
