In Portland, Oregon, a #NotMyPresidentsDay protest was co-hosted by the group ‘Don’t Shoot PDX’ on Monday.
The group had wanted to express their displeasure with President Trump using ‘civil disobedience’, so they didn’t obtain a permit to protest.
That was Problem #1.
The ‘Don’t Shoot PDX’ protest began peacefully, but then protesters moved onto the streets and were attempting to block traffic.
That was Problem #2.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Protesters and police officers clashed in downtown Portland during a #NotMyPresidentsDay protest late Monday morning.
Police arrested 13 of the demonstrators.
Dozens of protesters showed up around 11 a.m. for a rally in front of the Edith Green – Wendell Wyatt Federal Building. The event was partly put on by the group Don’t Shoot PDX.
Some members in the group were wearing gas masks and covering their faces with ski masks. The group didn’t get a permit for their march, so they were met with Portland Police officers in riot gear.
Nearly 20 minutes after the rally started, protesters attempted to block traffic on SW 3rd Avenue.
Officers on bicycles moved some members of the group onto the sidewalk as police made multiple announcements, saying protesters who were blocking traffic were subject to arrest.

So, to recap, one of the protesters from ‘Don’t Shoot PDX’ was… shot by the Oregon PD for her civil disobedience.
This crazy protester chick was taking an aggressive stance towards the police.
She was shouting back, disobeying their commands, and even gave them a double middle-finger.
That my friends, is Problem #3.
Just. Don’t. Do. That.
‘Cause you’ll end up with rubber bullets ricocheting off of your body.
Oh, and the other group that was co-hosting the protest?
They had a permit and remained peaceful.
The police didn’t arrest any of them.
Because they had a permit and remained peaceful.
Perhaps there is a connection there.
