BOOM! This State Passes Bill PROTECTING Drivers From Street-Blocking Rioters

Who’s street? — No, don’t answer just yet, little protester.

They are going to have to retire that ‘who’s street… our street’ chant.

Because the times, they are a-changing.

Either they will learn to stop blocking roads, or we will see more incidents ending like this one did.

One lawmaker in Charlotte — after watching the riots — said enough was enough.

“As we’ve seen, time and time again, as folks run out in the middle of the streets and the interstates in Charlotte and attempt to block traffic,” Burr said as he introduced the bill. He wants to ensure “drivers don’t have to fear driving through Charlotte or anywhere in North Carolina.”

House Bill 330. The bill would protect motorist from any civil liability if they hit someone who is blocking traffic in a public right of way. From the bill:

“§ 1‑539.13 Immunity from civil liability for certain automobile drivers.

(a)A person driving an automobile who is exercising due care and injures another person who is participating in a protest or demonstration and is blocking traffic in a public right‑of‑way is immune from civil liability for the injury.

(b)A person shall not be immune from civil liability if the actions leading to the injury were willful or wanton.”

SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law and applies to injuries occurring on or after that date. — Federalist Papers

Share if you think laws putting power back in the hand of the law-abiding citizen are overdue.

Share if these morons will want to stop blocking traffic.
