Is Hollywood Trying To Start A Race War With New Slate Of TV Shows?

With the racial division in America as heated as it’s been in a generation, are they DELIBERATELY trying to inflame racial hate?

You see it on the news. You see it in Hollywood.

Everyone who does not mark lockstep with the Left’s latest nonsense is branded racist-sexist-homophobe… and whatever other names can be thrown at us.

Hitler and ‘fascist’ are popular ones lately.

It gets old, really.

We’ve seen colleges lose their minds over whipped-up racial tensions.

Mizzou, and Evergreen, for instance. Berkley wasn’t much better.

But now, they’re putting out movies like this.

First, there’s “Confederate”, from those who gave us Game Of Thrones.

already there seems to be little appetite for the series, which plans to take a revisionist approach to American history, imagining a world in which the South successfully seceded from the union and slavery persists “as a modern-day institution”.

…On Twitter, the MSNBC host Joy Reid weighed in: “It plays to a rather concrete American fantasy: slavery that never ends, becoming a permanent state for black people. Repugnant.” –Read More: Guardian

Not to be outdone, there’s another ‘alternate history’ storyline being dreamed up.

It envisions an alternate history where newly freed African Americans have secured the Southern states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama post-Reconstruction as reparations for slavery, and with that land, the freedom to shape their own destiny. The sovereign nation they formed, New Colonia, has had a tumultuous and sometimes violent relationship with its looming “Big Neighbor,” both ally and foe, the United States. The past 150 years have been witness to military incursions, assassinations, regime change, coups, etc. Today, after two decades of peace with the U.S. and unprecedented growth, an ascendant New Colonia joins the ranks of major industrialized nations on the world stage as America slides into rapid decline. Inexorably tied together, the fate of two nations, indivisible, hangs in the balance. –Read More: Deadline

It’s a far cry from shows like ‘The Jeffersons’ or ‘The Cosby Show’ that showed an optimistic view of racial harmony, where Black and White could share in the American Dream together.

Even the Theme Song for the Jefferson’s ‘Movin’ On Up’ sang about a new-found upward mobility. Music, generally carried a lot of that same optimism.

Hollywood’s optimism there bled into society, and we saw great success for decades.

So what, exactly, is Hollywood — and today’s music scene — hoping to accomplish by pumping out all this bitterness and resentment?
