Liberal Logic: Trump’s Sexual Comments BAD – Weinstein’s Systematic Sexual Abuse … No Big Deal

Exactly one year later, we see the REAL face of Hollywood’s defense of Women.

It was EASY to be ‘outraged’ if you’re in Hollywood, and everyone was piling on a Republican Boogeyman and a leaked tape about words that were said.

ONe year later, people are STILL denouncing Trump as a misogynist.

Do we know for certain whether he was anything more than him shooting his mouth off?

Because let’s face it, nobody could EVER imagine Trump engaged in hyperbole, right? It’s so out of character for him.

Fast forward one year. We have specific allegations, with names and dates. A number of women — some of whom have become famous already, and could hardly be accused of being motivated by personal gain — with specific and serious allegations against a HUGE Hollywood Mogul.

But — with the exception of a few bold voices — hardly ANYONE has spoken up.

What’s different? Maybe it’s because Weinstein has a (D) after his name.

Specific allegations of REAL abuse like THIS.

Lauren Sivan, formerly a Fox News Reporter, claims that when she worked with the cable channel Long Island 12 a decade ago, Weinstein insisted she take a tour with him in Socialista, a club he part-owned.
She claims he took her downstairs to a kitchen and cleared it of staff and then tried to kiss her. When she refused his advance he said, ‘Well, can you just stand there and shut up’.
The movie mogul is then alleged to have masturbated in front of her and ejaculated into a nearby flower pot.
Sivan says she was trapped and intimidated and deeply shocked. — DailyMail

(Sounds eerily like another famous Democrat who treated women like an impersonal means to an end.)

Indeed, A-list actresses like Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow who have used their fame to encourage and support women and who have worked with Weinstein have said nothing.

Those same three women have also been more than willing to supply writers and journalists with quotes praising Weinstein over the years and taking about how wonderful he is to work with as an actor.

Kidman’s lack of comment is perhaps the most glaring of the three as she just came off an awards season push for her HBO show Big Little Lies in which she repeatedly spoke about the importance of empowering women and supporting victims of abuse.

They are not alone in their silence either, as many other women who have sang the praises of Weinstein while speaking out against harassment also went mute as of Friday afternoon, including: Kate Hudson, Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchett, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Toni Collette, Minnie Driver and Uma Thurman.

The real dirty secret isn’t that Democrats are doing dirty things, and abusing their power and wealth to bully and subjugate innocent people. No. These are the same folks that lavished praise on Roman Polanski, Hugh Hefner and Charlie Sheen, after all.

The dirty secret is that they will only ‘speak truth to power’ if that power cannot personally benefit or threaten THEM.

Which of course, is the same as not speaking truth to power at all.

Hollywood congratulates itself on the ‘courage’ they display by standing up to Trump.

But hardly a soul dares speak up against an actual monster in their midst.

And why? Because they are afraid that monster might destroy them, next.

We need feisty people to step up and speak out. Like this guy:

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass.

Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.

Share if Hollywood needs to stop throwing the word ‘courage’ around until they actually display some.
