‘Wonder Woman’ Makes Her Outfit Out Of Some STRANGE Items – Don’t Act Like You’re NOT Impressed
Well then. Someone is taking cosplay very seriously — and it’s seriously impressive. Check it out.
This Australian makeup artist and children’s party entertainer didn’t break the bank on her incredible costume.
She used some inexpensive items and vast amounts of creativity. She says the whole thing cost her about $30. She used a cheap yoga mat for the base, some duct tape, and contact adhesive.
Seriously.
Oh, and about 50 hours of work.
Rhylee Passfield, a 22-year-old freelance make up artist and children’s party entertainer is a huge fan of the character and wanted to make the costume to challenge herself and expand her skillset.
‘I have been painting and drawing since I was three years old and I am always wanting to branch out into more areas with my artistic abilities,’ Rhylee told Daily Mail Australia.
Well, Rhylee, I think that’s ‘Mission Accomplished’.
You can certainly be proud of yourself.
Here are the photos of her progress.
First, she used duct tape on herself to make a template.
She then used that template to cut out a breastplate from a $6 K-Mart yoga mat. She used a heat gun to curve the mat into the right shape:
She then used some thin craft foam to make the eagle and the belt which she attached with contact adhesive:
She then used artificial nails to scrape the pattern into the breastplate:
She then painted it:
She used more craft foam for the leg armor, gauntlets, and headpiece. The skirt is scrap vinyl from a discount store attached to a pair of men’s boxerbriefs:
That’s one impressive costume!
This young lady kept her eye on the prize and worked hard to achieve her goal.
And that deserves applause.
