We’re used to ‘puff pieces’ from CNN, but this is embarrassing.
What were they supposed to do for an encore after 2017? ‘Hold my beer’ doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Do you remember last year, when Brooke Baldwin had to be the ‘voice of reason’ talking a totally wasted Don Lemon out of getting a nipple pierced on live TV? (He went with a nipple, instead.)
They found a way to double down.
And no, it wasn’t by finding a better host to replace Kathy Griffin.
The Anderson Cooper / Andy Cohen were hosting the NYC ball drop.
The reviews were pretty bad… even by CNN’s leftist faithful:

But that wasn’t the only CNN location out there.
Don Lemon made an appearance. But he was eclipsed by a pot party that a CNN reporter didn’t just ‘attend’ but was ‘fully participating’ in.
Like Bill Clinton, she ‘didn’t inhale’ (at least, not while on camera) but the other hosts were convinced she was ‘buzzed’.
But she was passing a joint around helped othere partiers ‘blaze’.

Notice how stoked Andy Cohen is when he sees that.
He’s absolutely THRILLED!
Becuase nothing says ‘professionalism’ like getting drunk or stoned during a shift at work.
So, how did the public react?
The 420 crowd lapped it up, predictably… they were ALMOST as thrilled as Cohen.
The rest were a little more, well, ‘skeptical’.
