There are four reasons people use cars:
a) To get from Point A to Point B
b) To collect them
c) To use them in sports
d) To do illegal things with them
There are four reasons people use guns:
a) To collect them
b) To hunt
c) To use them in sports
d) To do illegal things with them
Notice that with every option that isn’t d), the burden is carried by law abiding American citizens.
Notice also that all those laws law-abiding America citizens not only adhere to, but in many cases pay additional fees for, encumber their gun or car ownership.
Think about it.
You go out and you buy a car because you need a ride to get you here and there. So you have to get tags. It has to be inspected. You have to have insurance.
Whereas a criminal hops in the driver’s seat of your ride and in about six seconds is rolling with no insurance, no inspection, no nothing.
Same goes with guns doesn’t it?
