He didn’t reference it here, but the reason we can have security defending us is the logical extension of the natural right to self-defense upon which the Second Amendment rests.
If we have a right to defend our life from a threat, we have an equal right to pay someone skilled to do that same job on our behalf, whether as a delegated task by ‘the governed’ (see police and military) or as a private firm.
So his big question he’s asking is: why are some Americans ‘more equal’ than others?
