Here’s another one of those ‘good guy with a gun’ stories CNN keeps dismissing as ‘myths’.
Some dope opened fire at Walmart, and hurt a couple of victims including a kid.
Police rushed to the scene, obviously. But when they arrived, there was nothing left to do but the paperwork.
Walmart in Tumwater still closed this morning after police say a man fired shots inside the store, shot a man during a carjacking in the parking lot. An armed citizen killed the gunman https://t.co/xROdb6C4ek @KIRO7Seattle pic.twitter.com/cL0NeVekqA

Did you see that? A witness is saying a pastor put him down. Because he cared for the lives of others. Is that even biblical? It sure is!
But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went out after him and attacked him, and rescued it from his mouth; and when he rose up against me, I seized him by his beard and struck him and killed him. — 1 Samuel 17:34-36.
He was just following King David’s example.
Here’s how the events played out, as reported by local news:
The Tumwater Police Department says that officers originally responded to a report of a car driving in the wrong direction near Israel Road and Tyee Drive, but as the officers were in route they were dispatched to reports of a carjacking nearby with shots fired.
Officers arrived to the corner of Israel Road and Tyee Drive and found a 16-year-old girl who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect from the earlier carjacking of the 16-year-old entered the Walmart store and fired shots at a display case, police said. No customers or employees inside the store were injured.
Police say the suspect then exited the store and attempted to carjack another car in the parking lot, shooting a man in that car in the process. The man was treated for gunshot wounds and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he remains in critical condition.
Police say the suspect then attempting another carjacking in the Walmart parking lot, and was approached by two armed civilians. One of the armed civilians shot the suspect, and the suspect died at the scene.
No innocents dead, but the trigger-happy goon is done and dusted.
Here’s to the armed citizen who saw to it that Father’s Dad didn’t become a day of mourning for anyone who happened to be at Walmart that day.
The ‘People of Walmart’ get a lot of abuse and mocking. But this is not the first time that someone tried to knock off a Walmart and was stopped by gun-toting shoppers.

Rules For Radical Christians is not a survival devotional designed to help the young Christian adult limp through life. Rather, it is a road-tested, dominion blueprint that will equip the young adult with leadership skills and sufficient motivation to rise to a place of influence in an overtly non-Christian culture. Rules For Radical Christians gives the reader the keys to become strategically equipped to move into an anti-theistic environment and effectively influence it for the glory of God.
