Melania Perfectly Responds To NYT’s Weird Lie About Her TV Watching – She Humiliates Them

So this is what the ‘Paper of Record’ now sees as “all the news that’s fit to print”? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Then again, what objectivity were we really expecting from a paper that published a gay-sex fantasy cartoon sequence between Trump and Putin?

Even Huffpo denounced them for that one:
New York Times Called Out For Homophobic Trump-Putin Cartoon

Some of the same people who complain about being called fake news, spent the month after her kidney surgery spinning all kinds of theories about where Melania may have disappeared to.

And can anyone forget the terrible scandal of HighHeelsGate, when she wore her heels onto the plane while heading out to visit flood victims.

Perhaps she’s the first woman ever to realize she can change to different shoes in-flight? Ridiculous.

This week, the Times ran a story about a supposed squabble over the TV remote.

Even if it’s true, would that make them the first couple of all time to disagree about what to watch on the TV?

But for the NYT’s Katie Rogers and Maggie Haberman it’s some kind of a ‘scoop’.

On the first couple’s recent trip overseas, Melania Trump’s television aboard Air Force One was tuned to CNN. President Trump was not pleased.

He raged at his staff for violating a rule that the White House entourage should begin each trip tuned to Fox — his preferred network over what he considers the “fake news” CNN — and caused “a bit of a stir” aboard Air Force One, according to an email obtained by The New York Times. The email, an internal exchange between officials in the White House Military Office and the White House Communications Agency last Thursday, also called for the ordering of two additional televisions to support Beam, a TiVo-like streaming device, to make sure the president and first lady could both watch TV in their separate hotel rooms when they travel.

At the end of the email chain, officials confirmed that tuning the TVs to Fox would be standard operating procedure going forward. On Wednesday, Mrs. Trump’s spokeswoman issued a statement to CNN saying that the first lady watches “any channel she wants.”

Note: the WH response was added later as an update. (Could afterthought be just as accurate a term?)

Here’s Melania’s response:

The first lady did not address the truth or falsity of the report, but a statement from her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, slammed reporters for focusing on such trivial issues.

“Did you know that every 15 minutes a baby is born with NAS?” Grisham asked, referring to neonatal abstinence syndrome. “Maybe you’d like to talk about the 160,000 kids who skip school every day for fear of being bullied, or that 280,000 students are physically attacked in schools every month.”

“Seems kind of silly to worry about what channel she watches on TV (any channel she wants btw) or if she heard some recording on the news,” she added.

She’s been focussed on being a children’s advocate from day one.

This response brings that into sharp focus. While the alleged news is worked up about an alleged squabble over the TV remote, she’s pointing out all kinds of stories they’ve been ignoring.

None of those things are of particular interest to the news, for some reason.

Or at least, not as interesting as taking a swipe at Trump, for ‘sins’ real or imagined.

EVERY CHANCE THEY GET.

And yet — for some reason — people keep calling them ‘fake news’. *gasp*

Can you imagine?
