Petition: Demand That ‘Social Media’ Co’s Cease To Stifle Conservative Speech – Sign Here!

A massive new petition has been launched to combat the censorship of conservatives on the platforms.

ClashDaily has covered Facebook’s algorithm change that negatively affected Republican Congress Members more than their Democrat counterparts.

CNN and Democrats in Congress have been pushing for Facebook and YouTube to censor InfoWars, the controversial website and YouTube channel of Alex Jones, which has been labeled ‘fake news’ and ‘conspiracy theory’.

InfoWars is fighting back for all conservative voices by starting a petition to stop the censorship on one side of the political spectrum.

Massive studies have proven that algorithms can shift millions of votes and change the outcome of national elections. This in itself is election meddling and should be illegal. All we are asking for is a level playing field.

Since social media platforms are now de facto becoming the Internet and have formed into monopolies, the argument that they are private companies who can behave with impunity is no longer valid. We demand congressional and parliamentary scrutiny. We demand a Digital Rights Act to secure free speech online.

It has now been confirmed that Twitter is censoring conservatives with site-wide shadow bans under the umbrella of “Quality Filter Discrimination”.

Algorithm manipulation could change the results of national elections. This petition is part of a multifaceted effort to pressure Congress into forcing social media giants to not discriminate against conservatives.

If we can present our case with hundreds of thousands of signatures to back it up, they will be forced to pay attention and change their policies.

Whatever you think of Jones and InfoWars the fight for Free Speech is a vital one.

Social Media is increasingly becoming the medium by which we receive information. Suppressing one perspective while pushing the other on social media is choosing which perspective is the ‘correct’ one. It’s essentially silencing dissent, and with a ‘shadowban,’ individuals may not know that their being suppressed.

Here is the text from the petition:

Social media has been silencing alternative voices online with algorithms that filter their content and users indiscriminately. The latest form of censorship was Twitter automatically including users in a site-wide “Quality Filter Discrimination” shadowban which prevents anyone not already following them from viewing their tweets or denies people from viewing certain posts altogether with a “sensitive content” filter. In many cases, there is nothing sensitive about the content Twitter is targetting, going so far as censoring simple mainstream stories posted by journalists it included on the shadowban. Google and Facebook have used similar algorithms in the past to target alternative voices online on an arbitrary basis, without any chance to make an appeal. We demand that Twitter, Facebook, and Google put an end to this form of censorship through continued congressional inquiries and a move towards a digital online rights act to secure free speech online.
