The left and the Media (D) are freaking out over President Trump’s statement on the climate report that was just released.
Late last week, as thousands of migrants were preparing to rush the southern border, we all were sated after a Thanksgiving dinner with family, and then we were strapping on our elbow pads and helmets to get the best Black Friday deals, a governmetn climate change report was released.
The report, the second of four such annual studies commissioned by Congress, concludes not only that the world’s temperature is rising and but also that the preponderance of evidence suggests human actions play a role in it. The report’s authors conclude that the changing climate “is transforming where and how we live and presents growing challenges to human health and quality of life, the economy, and the natural systems that support us.” And that, unless we change our practices and policies, there will be “substantial damages to the US economy, environment, and human health and well-being over the coming decades.”
The report goes on to detail the economic impact of climate change (hundreds of billions lost, with farms being hardest hit) and the physical toll it could take on our collective health, as factors like air quality, disease transmission by insects, food and water will “increasingly threaten the health and well-being of the American people.”
The White House has allegedly dismissed the report as a hit job by Obama loyalists who used ‘extreme models’ for their findings.
The Media (D) reported it as a ‘bombshell’ because 13 federal agencies and more than 300 climate scientists agree that climate change will have a catastrophic effect on the U.S. economy.
President Trump’s response was, ‘I don’t believe it.’
Pres. Trump tells @jonkarl he's read "some" of the new comprehensive report issued by 13 federal agencies warning of dire economic impacts of climate change.

This, of course, led to the hysterical wailing of the Media (D) that ‘TRUMP DENIES CLIMATE CHANGE!’
Watch MSNBC’s concern over the President’s ‘Climate denial’:
CNN took a slightly different tactic, and instead, Brain Stelter opined that the pro-Trump media is ignoring the Very, Very True™ impact of climate change.
Watch as Stelter and his guests lament that Fox is ignoring the issue instead focussing on the caravan.
He accidentally says something true — we live in two different worlds with two different priorities.
He’s absolutely right.
The Media (D) is fixated on the theoretical possibility of something happening in the distant future that may or may not be related to our actions, while conservatives are concerned at people currently at the border throwing rocks at ICE agents.
Which one seems to be a more imminent concern?
But what the Media (D) is getting wrong is that President Trump is actually saying that he doesn’t believe that climate change will have a catastrophic impact on the economy not about climate change itself.
Kind of an important distinction, really.
For the tolerant folk that they are, the left is pretty quick to label Republicans ‘climate deniers’, even if that’s not what they’re actually denying.
I suppose that there is a precedent for that position, though.
President Trump has indicated in the past that he doesn’t believe that climate change exists.
In 2012, he tweeted:
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 6, 2012
Last Wednesday, he put this chum in the water for the climate fanatics on Twitter:
Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS – Whatever happened to Global Warming?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 22, 2018
Indeed, many conservatives are skeptical with the climate alarmists’ predictions because the dire warnings have been consistently walked back.
Or how we’d lose tree cover due to climate change? (A new report shows that global tree canopy has grown over 865,000 square miles.)
Yeah, none of that happened.
Then there are the outright factual errors. A headline-grabbing ‘major’ global warming study on the warming of the oceans was caught with a gigantic math error after it was published.
Or maybe the newly-released report that Canadian weather stations reveal no significant warming trend in the past hundred years.
And of course, you can’t talk about
global cooling global warming climate change without mentioning former Vice President and until Hillary, the biggest Presidential sore loser, Al Gore. His Academy Award and Nobel Prize-winning ‘documentary’, An Inconvenient Truth can’t be shown to schoolchildren in England without a disclaimer about the 11 factual errors that were found as well as asserting that it is a partisan political film, not a science-based documentary.
But Gore did win accolades and made a mint. He used his newfound wealth to pay for his massive energy costs and buy a lovely home in swanky Montecito on the coast of California.
Still, there are many on the right that don’t discount climate change or even human-induced climate change. There is some discussion, however, whether/how much intervention is needed, should be government-mandated, or if it will do anything statistically relevant at all to ‘turn back the clock’ on climate change.
Barry said that the technology exists, but we have ‘mommy issues’ and racism so we don’t initiate the things we need to stop climate change. (Don’t worry, I don’t understand that statement either.)
And yet, despite Trump’s alleged world-ending decision to pull out of the ridiculous non-binding Paris Climate Accord, the U.S. is on track to meet the targets that were in it.
Fortunately (?) some Democrats are catching on that Americans are more concerned with thousands of illegal immigrants crossing the border daily than they are about some computer model about climate change of UP TO 2 degrees Celsius. (Spoiler alert: The higher the possible warning, the percentage chance of likelihood of that scenario actually happening goes down. That’s why the push is now to work on limiting climate change by half-degrees.)
Now, since the ‘Abolish ICE’ rhetoric has flopped for the Dems, John Kerry, ever-astute reader of tea-leaves has sensed a disturbance in The Force. He’s decided that he’s going to pair the winning strategy of border control with climate alarmism.

So, yes, Media (D), we do live in two worlds. One where an imminent concern is acknowledged and dealt with before the theoretical problems that might arise some hundred years or so in the future.
And it looks like two losing Democrat Presidential candidates finally got the memo.
