The awkward moment when a CNN talking head comes out in favor of domestic terrorists.
We at ClashDaily have long wondered whether Chris Cuomo and his brother share a brain. It would certainly go a long way to explaining how each can outdo each the other for stupid statements. Looks like this week was NOT Chris’s turn to have custody.
One more reason they should change that slogan: “CNN… the most busted name in news”.
Imagine somebody saying about a skinhead group — no, I don’t agree with their racism, just their stance on income disparity in depressed rural regions — (or whatever the hell issue those reprobates pretend to stand for) Cuomo would demand his head on a plate.
But now Cuomo is actually putting in a good word for a group that managed to get themselves a domestic terrorism designation.

US security officials have classified the left-wing group Antifa as “domestic terrorists”, confidential documents have revealed. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reportedly been warning about the growing threat of violence between left-wing anarchists and right-wing nationalists since 2016, amid claims Antifa’s activity has become more confrontational, according to documents seen by Politico.

It’s not the first time he’s defended not only Antifa, but their violence.
“But when someone comes to call out bigots and it gets hot, even physical, are they equally wrong as the bigot they are fighting? I argue, no. Fighting against hate matters,” Cuomo continued. “Now, how you fight matters too. There’s no question about that. But drawing a moral equivalency between those espousing hate and those fighting it because they both resort to violence emboldens hate, legitimizes hateful belief and elevates what should be stamped out.”
“But fighting hate is right. And in a clash between hate and those who oppose it, those who oppose it are on the side of right. Think about: civil rights activist, were they the same morally as the bigots, as the racist with whom they exchanged blows,” Cuomo stated. “Are people who go to war against an evil regime on the same moral ground as those they seek to stop from oppressing the weak?”

Here’s some morality clarity for you Chris: when the Marxists and the White Supremacists clash, denounce both. Even Jake Tapper has recognized Cuomo’s arguments about Trump supporting White Supremacists were full of crap.
Chris sure picked a bad time to come out supporting the ‘virtues’ of Antifa, what with THIS story being reported:
The FBI is investigating anti-fascist activists for an alleged plot to buy guns from a Mexican cartel in order to “stage an armed rebellion” at the southern border, according to an unclassified document obtained by The Chicago Tribune.
The FBI document, from December of 2018, warns of militant antifa activists planning to “disrupt security operations” at the U.S.-Mexico border. The group allegedly planned to buy guns from a Mexican cartel associate known as Cobra Commander, in order to “stage an armed rebellion at the border.”
The source who provided it to the San Diego Tribune asked the outlet not to publish the six-page document because the investigation is ongoing, and the outlet cited two additional law enforcement officials who confirmed the news. The FBI has warned dozens of law enforcement agencies in both Mexico and the United States of the alleged plot.

…this report seems pretty damned serious.
How much brainpower does it take to understand that a group that literally tried to arm itself against American border officials is the wrong team to back?
This is the same group that once attacked people who were marching in defense of — wait for it — Free speech. Another time, they beat up a Democrat for flying Old Glory.
Have a seat, Chris.
Hell, have a whole stadium full of them.
If Chris wants to see the RIGHT way to denounce racism AND violent Marxist protesters, contrast what WE wrote about it when it was still recent news, and contrast that to CNN’s ever-shifting goalposts.
We aren’t retracting or amending ours. We don’t have to. Because what we wrote about that incident, denouncing the KKK AND slapping Antifa around has held up. But their narrative? It’s been fact-checked, amended, and revised. Some of their own staff (like Tapper) have even acknowledged that what they have been saying about Trump since Charlottesville is bogus.
