Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-CA) is finally trying to reign in the new recruits. Is it too late?
Perhaps.
Rep. Pelosi might be Speaker of the House, but she’s not really the leader of the House Democrats. The usurpers who have unceremoniously yanked the crown off her head are of the far-left variety that wear the brand “Democratic Socialist” with pride. The thought leaders of the Dems are more of the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar ilk, or as the esteemed Larry Elder has labeled on Twitter, “The Marx Sisters.”

The internal struggle for the direction of the Democratic Party is being waged in public, and I don’t know about you, but I am McLovin’ it!
It’s a struggle between centrism — which gets Democrats elected, and the progressive wing — which appeals to the base. Speaker Pelosi seems to be the only one in the entire Democratic Party that understands this.
Even the Presidential hopefuls are racing to out-left each other in their policies — so far, they’ve endorsed the Green New Deal, raising taxes, single-payer healthcare, reparations, no borders, abolishing ICE, sanctuary states, and eliminating the Electoral College. All of that plays well to the base, but the rest of America — eh, not so much.
Speaker Pelosi is attempting to yank everyone back to reality and she’s doing that by going after Occasional-Cortex who gets a whole lot of Media(D) attention.
US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to take another thinly veiled shot at the success of rising Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by claiming that a ‘glass of water with a D next to its name’ would have won her seat.
Pelosi, 79, was speaking at the London School of Economics on Monday where she said that the Democratic Party must avoid the ‘menace’ of liberal policies pushed by rising political stars if it wants to beat President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
Pelosi said:
When we won this election, it wasn’t in districts like mine or Alexandria’s. Those are districts that are solidly Democratic – this glass of whatever would win with a D next to its name in those districts.
She went on to outline a centrist vision for the Democrats. (Someone should really tell the umpteen “hopefuls” running for the Democrat nomination — or maybe not.)
During the talk, she also shared her own liberal upbringing and accomplishments while representing the Democratic voters of San Francisco.
She said: ‘I can compare my liberal credentials across the board. I said to them: ”Anything you’re about, I got that sign in my basement 20 years ago.”
‘What we are saying is, to have a message that appeals to people in a way that does not menace them.
‘I share those values – but we must win.’

I have a sneaking suspicion that even dumb-as-a-post AOC knows that she’s bleeding now.
You can see it in her eyes, she’s got big plans for America. Big, psychotic plans.
Plans for putting a stake through the heart of industry, in the name of Democratic Socialism. Plans for dismantling ICE and letting illegals stream over our borders. Plans for outlawing cars, and our burgers. Because otherwise, the world will end in 12 years. And you’d better do it, or else, because she’ll tell ya “I’m The Boss!”
She’s not exactly ‘shelf stable’, but she IS an elected representative. She’s Alexandria Occasio-Cortez: The American Psycho!
