CIGARS & SERMONS: What To Do When Your ‘Brook Dries Up’

Life was pretty good. Until the music stopped and the party was over. When it happens, do you know how to roll with it?

Life marches forward whether you think you’re ready for it or not. Sometimes the ‘rut’ we find ourselves stuck in isn’t a bad thing at all. Sometimes it’s actually a GOOD thing that’s run its course and it’s time to move on.

But change isn’t always easy. Especially when we’re launching into God-knows-what.

And that’s exactly the point.

He DOES. Even when we don’t.

Today’s message breaks down what we can take away from when the Prophet Elijah went through the rough stuff. The man of God had done nothing wrong, but the party was over anyway.

God had need of him elsewhere.

That. Is. all.

There was no ‘secret sin’. No ‘wager with the devil’.

Nothing like that.

Just God turning the page and starting a new chapter.

Can it be scary? Sure. But it can also be the best thing that happened to you — AND to the people waiting on the other side of your obedience.

Sometimes we get so comfortable in life that we forget that we really NEED God, and we don’t have it all sorted out as much as we might think.

Rules For Radical Christians is not a survival devotional designed to help the young Christian adult limp through life. Rather, it is a road-tested, dominion blueprint that will equip the young adult with leadership skills and sufficient motivation to rise to a place of influence in an overtly non-Christian culture. Rules For Radical Christians gives the reader the keys to become strategically equipped to move into an anti-theistic environment and effectively influence it for the glory of God.
