Harrison Ford Goes To Montreal To Cheer Carbon Tax — Can You Spot The Problem?

Harrison Ford is a typical ‘Woke’ Hollywood type. He supports all the ‘right’ causes… so what was it about his visit to Montreal that has people mocking him?

It’s not easy to be a gazillionaire Hollywood type, enjoying the high life while at the same time ascribing to all the latest Marxist environmental claptrap.

The hypocrisy will, at some point, become impossible to hide.

In Ford’s case, the audio from the Air Traffic Control tower did it. What was the very first thing Ford said when he landed in Montreal?

He wanted to know where the Shell station was for his plane.

That’s right — he flew his own plane to Montreal. So he could congratulate himself for how good and wise he was for lecturing regular people like us on our Carbon Footprints.

The video obviously won’t match the audio — other footage of him flying will have been used. But the audio is real enough.

After he lands, the video switches to him addressing a crowd about environmentalism.

What was the issue he was celebrating?

Trudeau just issued a punishing carbon tax that put the price of gasoline at historic highs and is really putting the screws to the little guy with a fixed income or a long commute.

What does HE care? What does he care if he had to drop a few more drachmas to fuel his plane it’s pocket change for him.

Not so much for the regular folks who are living paycheck to paycheck and just saw a huge jump in their fuel prices.

Just how bad are the prices? Canadian dollars are worth a bit less than ours, but it’s not like coverting pesos or anything. Last I looked, their dollar was worth something like 75 cents US. Their liter is about one-fourth of our gallon… so to compare apples to apples you need to multiply by four.

In Vancouver, gas prices have been reported around $1.69 a liter. Sounds pretty good until you multiply it by four and realize they’re charging about $6.79 a gallon.

And everything delivered by truck — including groceries — just got more expensive.

And Harrison Ford hopped in his plane to tell the world just how good and right such a tax is… but not so good and right that he’s willing to take the train to get there, eh?

I miss the good ol’ days when Harrison Ford was still cool, instead of just another aging woke-scold. You know, back when he was still Han Solo and Indiana Jones, and before his hair turned gray.

Come to think of it, there was a lot to like back then. And we’ve got a President bringing some of the best of it back again.
