WATCH: Sleepy Joe Tells Moving War Story But He Gets Every Detail COMPLETELY Wrong

He told the crowd, “this is the God’s truth. My word as a Biden.” Yikes.

Gaffe-prone Joe Biden doesn’t seem to be suffering from gaffes so much as suffering from just being Joe Biden.

The former Vice President is a known liar who has told emotional stories that were complete misrepresentations of the facts. The most egregious example of this is the way he has lied about the tragic accident that took the lives of his wife and his young daughter. Despite the police determining that the truck driver was not at fault for the accident, Biden has repeatedly stated over the years that the man was a “drunk driver.”

For many years, he described the driver of the truck that struck and killed his first wife and their daughter in December 1972 as drunk, which he apparently was not. The tale could hardly be more tragic; why add in a baseless charge? The family of the truck driver has labored to correct the record, but Biden made the reference to drunkenness as recently as 2007, needlessly resurrecting a false and painful accusation.

Is this what he means with “truth over facts”?

His 1988 Presidential bid was doomed due to multiple instances of plagiarism. The plagiarism was bad enough, but it turns out that he plagiarised and lied.

During his failed 1988 run, Biden lifted portions of a speech by United Kingdom Labour MP and Margaret Thatcher challenger Neil Kinnock.

New York Times reporter Maureen Dowd reported on the fiasco in September 1987.

During an event at the Iowa State Fair, Biden mimicked entire portions of Kinnock’s speech from earlier in the year. At one moment, Biden repeated the line that he was the first “in a thousand generations” to graduate from college, gesturing to his wife in the exact same way Kinnock did, while also saying the same line about her education and lineage.

Biden would later acknowledge that he in fact did have relatives who attended college, directly contrasting the Kinnock lines.

Joe Bide in the living embodiment of that French saying, “Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.”

He’s at it again.

Recently, he said that he was Vice President and met with the kids that survived the Parkland shooting, but that happened in 2018 after he was out of office for more than a year. That’s pretty bad.

But his latest “Bidenism” is atrocious.

“Sleepy” Joe Biden was in New Hampshire and he recounted a story about a Navy serviceman who refused to receive a Silver Star for his heroism in Afganistan because the man that he was attempting to rescue died.

The Navy captain, Biden recalled Friday night, had rappelled down a 60-foot ravine under fire and retrieved the body of an American comrade, carrying him on his back. Now the general wanted Biden to pin a Silver Star on the American hero who, despite his bravery, felt like a failure.

“He said, ‘Sir, I don’t want the damn thing!’ ” Biden said, his jaw clenched and his voice rising to a shout. “ ‘Do not pin it on me, Sir! Please, Sir. Do not do that! He died. He died!’ ”

The room was silent.

“This is the God’s truth,” Biden had said as he told the story. “My word as a Biden.”

The Washington Post, however, says that Biden seems to have every detail of this story wrong. “In the space of three minutes, Biden got the time period, the location, the heroic act, the type of medal, the military branch and the rank of the recipient wrong, as well as his own role in the ceremony,” stated WaPo, stating that it appears that Biden has jumbled as many as 3 separate incidents into a story that was moving, but untrue. Not only that, he’s forgotten how many times he has been in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Biden visited Konar province in 2008 as a U.S. senator, not as vice president. The service member who performed the celebrated rescue that Biden described was a 20-year-old Army specialist, not a much older Navy captain. And that soldier, Kyle J. White, never had a Silver Star, or any other medal, pinned on him by Biden. At a White House ceremony six years after Biden’s visit, White stood at attention as President Barack Obama placed a Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest award for valor, around his neck…

One element of Biden’s story is rooted in an actual event: In 2011, the vice president did pin a medal on a heartbroken soldier, Army Staff Sgt. Chad Workman, who didn’t believe he deserved the award.

In a statement Thursday, Biden’s campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said Workman’s valor was “emblematic of the duty and sacrifice of the 9/11 generation of veterans.”

The thing is, he’s repeated this story for years — just like how his wife and daughter were killed by a “drunk driver.”

Biden is now pushing back and pulling an AOC on this one. It’s more important to be “morally right” than “factually correct.”

“I was making the point how courageous these people are, how incredible they are, this generation of warriors, these fallen angels we’ve lost,” he said. “I don’t know what the problem is. What is it that I said wrong?”

What’s wrong?!

Maybe “what’s wrong” with what he said is that as he told the story he gave his word that he was telling the truth. Sure, anyone can get confused, that’s not the issue. It’s that we’re supposed to believe this man and trust him as a potential President. He can’t seem to get the details of things that he has experienced in his own life straight.

It’s utterly embarrassing, Joe!

And it’s not making us very confident of your mental faculties.

Here he is on the campaign trail appearing to forget the name of President Obama:

Here’s Joe saying that he’s “not going nuts.”

Somehow, I don’t feel reassured.

The fact that Joe Biden has been at the top of the Democrat 2020 pack since he announced that he was planning on running is bad news for Democrats.

If he does manage to clinch the nomination an interesting thing could happen. The Media(D) might shake themselves out of their ideological stupor and be forced to face and report on Biden’s blatant lies instead of just just be “fact-checking” President Trump.

Or, I suppose, they could continue to ignore them all just like they did with Obama’s scandals.
