Remember how Obama nuked Project Cassandra, and turned a blind eye to criminal cartels while trying to kiss Iran’s ass? This is the opposite of that.
Trump sees Mexico’s criminal cartels as a direct threat to National security, who have enriched themselves at America’s expense for far too long.
The bill has come due.
Trump was interviewed on O’Reilly’s show:
“Are you going to designate those cartels in Mexico as terror groups and start hitting them with drones and things like that?” O’Reilly asked.
“I don’t want to say what I am going to do, but they will be designated,” Trump responded. “I’ve already offered Mexico … to let us go in and clean it out and he so far has rejected the offer but at some point something has to be done. Look, we are losing 100,000 people a year to what is happening and what is coming through on Mexico.”
“So you are going to designate the Mexican cartels as terror groups?” O’Reilly pressed.
“Yeah, I will be,” Trump responded. “I have been working on that for the last 90 days. You know, designation is not that easy, you have to go through a process, and we are well into that process.”
O’Reilly responded, “And wait to see, they’ll attack you for doing that.”
“I don’t care,” Trump responded. “I’m attacked on everything.”

At the time he was killed in 2008, the leader of Hezbollah was the reportedly the ‘2nd Most wanted’ after Osama Bin Laden.
Those who inherited his empire transformed it into a very sophisticated international crime syndicate that dealt in money laundering, weapons, narcotics, Military hardware — including rockets, missiles and vehicles — and is even connected to providing Syria’s chemical weapons and aspects of Iran’s Nuclear ambitions.
Project Cassandra had discovered that Hezbollah had transformed itself into an “international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities.” Source: Politico
Although Cassandra was very successful at identifying and gathering evidence that could catch their leaders, and disrupt their networks, Obama’s own administration was blocking them at every turn.
Not a good look for mister ‘not a smidgeon of corruption’.
Now we will have to face off with the same criminals Obama’s Fast and Furious gave the guns to in the first place.
