WOW: Altar Call At Kanye’s Meeting Looks More Like A Scene From A Billy Graham Crusade

Hey Pharisees — do ya STILL think Kanye’s faking the funk? Or are you ready to face reality yet?

In Baton Rouge, Kanye made a last-minute announcement that he was going to be holding one of his new signature worship events.

And with little fanfare, Kanye was introduced by pastor Jonathan Stockstill. (For a gazillionaire rap and fashion star, he sure does know a lot of pastors, doesn’t he?)

“Can we hear it for Jesus?” Stockstill asked. “He is king tonight.”

West, standing between wooden crosses, opened with “Closed on Sunday,” with his daughter North sitting on top of his shoulders.

One of those in attendance took to Instagram.

Here’s a photo of the response at the Altar call:

From the Instagram Post:
Tonight, @candacebrewington & I got to experience Kanye West’s Sunday Service at @bethany_church in Baton Rouge. If you’ve ever doubted the legitimacy or spiritual impact of this #sundayservice project, simply look at this incredible shot taken by @the.smitan during the altar call. YES, I said ALTAR CALL. ? Tonight, worship was lifted, the name of Christ was exalted, the Word of God was preached, a multitude prayed together, the Gospel was clearly proclaimed, and an opportunity to respond was given. In a crowd of 6,000 people from all walks of life, all ages, and all races, i witnessed over 1,000 people respond to The Gospel by raising their hands to accept Jesus as their Lord & Savior! ??? Say what you want, & think what you want…. But trust me when I tell you – The Spirit of the Living God was indeed present. I danced, wept, stood in awe of God’s redemptive work, & can honestly say that tonight I witnessed a new wave of REVIVAL first hand. #Jesusisking

He added that while many are doubting the rapper in his newfound faith, “the Spirit of the Living God was indeed present.”

“I danced, wept, stood in awe of God’s redemptive work, & can honestly say that tonight I witnessed a new wave of REVIVAL first hand,” Brewington concluded.

“Incredible night,” the musician added to an Instagram story. “Such an honor to witness what God is doing firsthand.”

Stop and consider what just happened.

Kanye made a last-minute announcement to show up at a location in Baton Rouge. Thousands showed up. And a wall of hands went up when it came time to say who wanted to make Jesus their king.

Whether the preachers in stuffed suits receive this with joy or envy is key at this point.

One plants, one waters but GOD gives the increase.

When Jesus said the fields were ‘white for the harvest’ and that we should pray that the Lord of the Harvest send laborers, he wasn’t kidding.

But we need to remember the laborers He sends may not always look the way we expect. A Prodical son like Kanye is a great reminder of that.

But for all the lives that have been changed by this one event — and God alone knows how many others — this is a reason for celebrating.

It is ALSO a reason to pray for far more laborers to enter the harvest, and ordinary believers to become ‘activated’, and step into the High Calling the Lord would have for each of us.

Because if you haven’t noticed… God appears to be on the move. If we’re smart, we’ll do our best to keep up.
