Will the same people who blasted Pence as a ‘Science-denier’ listen to what our top scientists are saying about how Trump has been handling this crisis?
The short answer is ‘no’, we can expect more politicization of the issue from Democrats who are far more interested in policing any instances of the ‘racist’ use of terms like Wuhan Virus (a term the Chinese are demanding we drop for basically the same reasons the Soviets tried to suppress Chernobyl) than they are of finding actual solutions.
Anything to tilt the odds in their favor come November, right?

Was putting a non-medical guy at the top a mistake? No, because his contribution is doing the work of coordination and bringing relevant experts and agencies together, not conducting anything relating to medical studies.

And they said that ‘absolutely’ it was beneficial for someone at the uppermost levels of government to be involved and to help identify and clear away areas of red tape and legislative or policy bottlenecks that otherwise impeded response.
