WATCH: Astronaut Chris Hadfield Reviews Space Movies From ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ To ‘Ad Astra’

If you need a distraction from all the coronavirus news — this is a good one. Remember that astronaut who covered David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ while on the International Space Station?

Well… he’s back!

If you missed it when it went viral a few years back, here is Hadfield’s cover of the song to bring you up to speed that this guy is just a little different from what you might expect from just reading his resume.

The video itself:

We’ll try not to hold the fact that he’s Canadian against him.

Now that we’re up to speed, Hadfield has taken his real-world off-world experience and is weighing in on Hollywood’s imagining of space travel.

He covers a lot of ground, and has some really great things to say — some because they’re smart, sometimes because they’re funny.

Since many of us aren’t going anywhere for a while anyway… you might as well take a couple of minutes to enjoy his critiques!

Enjoy!
