The Democrat Way: Arrogance, Hate and Hypocrisy

The 2020 election can be described by the adjectives “maddening” and “ridiculous.”  For conservatives who watched results last Tuesday night, we had front-row seats to a betrayal of trust as Fox News went “all in” for Joe Biden. We watched, before tuning in to Newsmax and other networks, as Fox delayed calls on obvious Trump wins and announced Biden victorious within seconds of a state’s polls closing.  Virginia was the first of these quick calls, followed by the notorious and wrong early call on Arizona.  Meanwhile, calls for Trump wins in Texas and Florida were delayed much too long.

It didn’t take long to see that Fox was in the tank with the Biden campaign and the rest of the news media. That disrespect notwithstanding, we watched as Trump rolled up wins and a few losses. By the night’s end, he was leading in battleground states and then the counting stopped. That was strange and no one could really explain why it stopped. Many of us went to bed only to wake up to hundreds of thousands of votes being dumped into the Biden column in the wee hours of the morning. The numbers were staggering. Biden got nearly 100% of that wee hours of the morning dump.

Again, we all know what happened. The Democrats cheated and are attempting to steal an election. We can only hope Trump team lawyers can prove it,  or the bad guys will have gotten away with a grand heist. Like many others, I’m watching that spectacle unfold, hoping and praying for a miracle.

What we are seeing as we wait is the blatant and nauseating arrogance, hate, and hypocrisy of the Democrat party.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted, “And after we celebrate — and we should all take a moment to exhale after everything we’ve been through — let’s remember that this is just a beginning. It’s a first step. Voting in one election isn’t a magic wand, and neither is winning one. Let’s remember that tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division. We’ve got a lot of work to do to reach out to these folks in the years ahead and connect with them on what unites us.”

In the spirit of unity, Mrs. Obama has declared us as having supported lies, hate, chaos, and division.  I guess in her mind we are some deplorable people. We can only hope they have the patience and stamina to work with us to bring us to enlightenment!  If arrogance had a face, it would look like Michelle Obama.

Not be outdone, is petulant pundit Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post, tweeted, “The only conservatives with logical reasons to aid Trump are the right-wing media and money-grubbing evangelical Christian self-promoters. Outrage and fear are their business model.”

I suppose, according to the self-proclaimed wisdom of Ms. Rubin, we evangelicals who support President Trump are “money-grubbing” folks who promote “outrage” and “fear.”

I’m thinking they must’ve missed Biden’s tweet in which he asserted, “We may be opponents — but we are not enemies. We are Americans.”

Here’s the deal. We, the regular folks, are not stupid. We know what happened. We don’t know if it can be proved in court, but we do know. We know that Biden is not a fairly elected president. He doesn’t care about the values we care about and we will not be a united country, not any time soon. We know the Democrats, the elites, and the media lie, cheat and manipulate to do what’s best for them and not for us.

The arrogance and elitism of the left is not lost on us. “Whatever a man sows, that will he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).  If this election stands (as wrong as it is), then we won’t riot or burn down the country. The left would have (and still might).  We will go back to work. When the next election comes, we’ll remember, and we’ll be there.
