One of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter, self-proclaimed “trained Marxist” Patrisse Collurs, wrote a letter to Biden and Harris urging them to pass the BREATHE Act within the first 100 days in office.

In an op-ed in Teen Vogue on Thursday, Cullors wrote, “The BREATHE Act is a legislative love letter to Black people.”

The BREATHE Act was proposed by two members of the far-left Squad — Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) last July, but it hasn’t yet made it before Congress.

So… what the heck is it?

It’s something else!

A summary of the act calls for the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services to create a plan that “provides for full decarceration of federal detention facilities within 10 years” and “enacts a moratorium on all new federal prison, jail, immigrant and youth detention construction.

“‘We need to radically reimagine our concept of justice and safety. For too long, we have addressed harm with reciprocal harm,” Cullors wrote in her op-ed.

“Reimagine our concept of justice and safety,” says Cullors.

How about… no.

The website for the BREATHE Act is a little more clear about what the bill is than the Fox News article cited above.

The website states that the “visionary bill divests our taxpayer dollars from brutal and discriminatory policing and invests in a new vision of public safety” and it’s clear that it’s a fundamental shift, “we cannot achieve genuine safety and liberation until we abandon police, prisons, and all punishment paradigms.”

Gee, no wonder it hasn’t been introduced in the House!

We’ve seen how Black Lives Matter protesters have behaved over the last few months. Heck, they’ve been smashing up property and looting from their inception.

But it’s more than that, it’s a nonsensical dream that doesn’t see reality — one of the things they want to do is send unarmed mental health and “trauma-informed interventionists” into domestic-violence situations in order to “facilitate long-term safety, healing, and prevention.”

That’s stepping into fantasyland, isn’t it?

It’s quite an assumption to think that you can send an unarmed person into a tense domestic violence situation safely.

The focus seems to be only on the criminal and there appears to be absolutely no consideration for the victims of crime.

But the BREATHE Act isn’t just about divesting all federal funds from police and prisons with the goal of abolition, it’s also about “redirecting” those funds to things like reparations, voting rights for non-citizens, and a universal basic income. In other words, it’s a far-leftist wish-list.

In addition, the BREATHE Act would create a commission to study reparations, give voting rights to undocumented immigrants, decriminalize all drug offenses, end cooperation with immigration authorities, pilot programs for universal basic income, among other sweeping changes.

In making her pitch for a meeting with the forthcoming administration, Cullors said that Black people had “saved the United States.” She said that the Black Lives Matter global network had direct voter engagement with over 60 million people.

Cullors appeals to Biden and Harris by stating that the black community was “faithful” and had delivered in the White House to Jim Crow Joe, so their agenda needs to be enacted. She also said that the BLM movement is a massive, global movement and has engagement with over 60 million voters.

“What is abundantly clear is Black voters tipped the scales in favor of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, especially in Rust Belt battleground states. It’s a testament to our communities that the same people who have been treated the worst by our democracy still showed up to save it,” wrote Cullors in the op-ed.

Biden has flip-flopped on the left’s call to “defund the police” and is actively gaslighting with his friends in the Media (D).

What will he do? Who knows.

But with the significant gains that President Trump made with black voters, Joe just might listen to Cullors and her Marxist friends in The Squad.
